Thanks for your teaching. Regarding the phrase “ I am sitting on the fence”!Sometimes, I heard people say “ A fence sitter” I often watched Dhart Mann videos and heard the expression “ fence sitter” Like you, I am passionate about English. I made it a point of watching Dhart Mann videos every day. I must use “beauty and wisdom “ best describes you. If not I am gay, I must chase you. James.

I have watched a few of Melody's videos. It is a fact of life that American english is more widely used. Hence American'ish pronunciation, American spelling and American expressions. No sure if Melody should mention both American and British spelling/expressions in her video. I suppose this will confuse many watching her videos wanting to improve their english. However, for those who have already achieved certain of proficiency, having the differences pointed out will take their proficiency to another level.

5:53, “I think I did not well in the exam" 否定應該是在I think 那一部分, 就是 “I don't think I did well in the exam."
@stone5831 Жыл бұрын
1. "I think I did not do well in the exam": This sentence indicates that you have a belief or opinion that you did not perform well in the exam. It suggests that you are uncertain about your performance but lean towards the idea that you did poorly. 2. "I don't think I did well in the exam": This sentence expresses a negative belief or opinion about your performance in the exam. It suggests that you have a stronger conviction that you did not perform well. If you are expressing a more tentative or unsure opinion, the first sentence works well. If you want to express a stronger belief or lack of confidence in your performance, the second sentence is more suitable.
