Vanessa drew me in (instantly) after the girl-crush subsided I realized she did have that aura of warmth and competence. I re-watched and saw how she moved her hands and her body language and how it reflects these emotions. I've been reading up on this kind of stuff and it's a trait ANYONE can learn if you study and practice. I feel that most of us grew up with bad communication skills and examples thus we may not have had the opportunity to thrive like others, but as an adult you can take control of your life and learn these skills and with determination, humor and an open mind you can become charismatic and more influential. Thanks this episode was amazing and so informative!

Hi, everyone I have a secret for you reveal. The reason why the United States of America and the Vatican keep delayed time by playing the voting game between President Biden with President Trump even though they know their children is going to die for no reason because if the Tibet and India know Pope Francisco does not want to see Holy Dalai Lama but he sent a Vietnamese came to Tibet say Vatican and NATO will liberate the Tibet and India. In contrary; every time NATO visit any country, Pope Francisco will visit that country. They do know the Vatican had done with Tibet 's citizens, thus they don't even say sorry. Secondly; I hope the India' citizens please pay attention. Don't you think this is disrespectful. Please tell me your comments Sincerely Thanks

I actually stopped listening to the audio podcast and came over to KZbin so I could see the visual cues as well as the hear the great conversation between you two. A family member is sequestered with COVID right now and we're all keeping our distance from each other and masking to try to stop the spread -- my husband just came to the doorway to check on me. I'm sitting at the far end of the room and I look down and his toes are pointing right at me. I smiled (a genuine smile) and sat up, squared my body to his, pointed my toes back at him, and then he blew me a kiss! Already putting this conversation into practice, so thanks!

DETECTING PATTERNS in how speak to ourselves is KEY to transition away from past limiting patterns to authentic power. WE need to become aware of the specific phrases that continue to give us an un-easy gut reaction. This was crucial in my early days of addiction recovery, and helps those I guide, in all circumstances of limiting behavior. TIPS: 1. Make an inventory of these limiting statements. 2. Make it mandatory to combat this with WORDS TO YOURSELF that are accurate and kind. 3. Create and recite an affirmation each morning, specific to you, detailing you deserve happiness. 4. Take an action towards your goal. BEST PRACTICES and WISHES to us ALL!

Fascinating and informative discussion. What is so cool is that I have been doing so many of the elements Vanessa shares, without realizing it's part of the charisma realm. I have been told by friends and strangers that the vibes I give off are warm and inviting so it allows the person to feel comfy and open up to me, even if I just met them. As an Empath, it's easy to feel and express to make the environment easy going. Intuition plays a huge role. Bring the others in towards you versus pushing them away. Authenticity is huge!! I can't do fake. Thank you for this session Mel. 😊👍💕

I love this, how fascinating!! I just wondered, I'm from the UK we are considered quite conservative and stiff upper lip, quite cold I have realised being a warm person that Brits are more untrusting with that personality. Also Australians and New Zealanders speak every sentence as a question, how does that come across too? Thank you I am LOVING this podcast!! ❤
@ScienceOfPeople
@ScienceOfPeople Жыл бұрын
Great questions! I'm so glad you loved this episode ❤ As a Brit, you might find that the reserved and understated style of communication common in the UK might be perceived as cold or untrusting by people from cultures where warmth and expressiveness are more valued. However, it’s important to remember that these are generalizations and individuals within a culture can vary greatly in their communication styles. As for Australians and New Zealanders, the specific speech pattern you’re referring to can sometimes be perceived as uncertainty or lack of confidence, but within Australian and New Zealand culture, it’s a normal part of speech and doesn’t carry these connotations.

Am I wrong in beleving that charisma is a natural result of being absolutely genuine and sensitive to the feelings of and helping others? I'm old, 66, but I own the blues! That's me. I'm a blues singer. I do rock, funk and jazz but I'm a blues singer..I do that. I feel extremely powerful and for me, means that I'm with them in song to comfort them when they feel that they have no one who understands. I believe that being genuine is a key.

I am highly warm. I need to work on seeming highly capable. I'm an introvert bit when I'm around people, i talk way too much, probably partly because of ADHD and partly because of awkwardness.

This is so cool, Mama Mel! I just subscribed to your channel, and I've been following you on iG and Apple Music for a couple weeks. I just found your KZbin channel today. I love seeing you do these interviews. I listen to your podcasts almost every day and share your IGs all the time, and I dance to them on my IG channel. You look great! And I'm so happy you do what you do... Than you!

I have been selected for several interviews recently, because of my experiences and abilities. However, some feedback was that I wasn't excited enough (a cheerleader, high warm). Although I asked many questions, did my research, and proved that I was highly capable. I actually dropped out of the process because deep down I knew that I am not capable of being a warm cheerleader. I prefer to be respected for my intelligence, and work ethic. I was actually very upset about this and just figured I wasn't the right fit. Funny how that made me feel insecure...

I am naturally warm and need to focus on projecting competence. The warms cues absolutely help me to get better quality interviews out of job applicants. When the applicant can feel more at ease and you’re signaling “I like/am interested in what you’re telling me”, believe me people will speak longer and more honestly. You get such a better sense of the person when you can do this. Also makes it less painful for the person. We almost universally hate job interviews, right?
