I usually do cold process. That’s because melt and pour is hard! It’s so hard to get certain designs, and then you really have to focus on the temps too, and then I feel like I waste more because it cools and then sticks to the container instead of scraping out easily. You made this look easy, but I know it’s not. Great work! 😍-Whittany

💚💛💚💛💚💛💚 A layer of hearts, and then some clear base to "stick" the hearts in place, and also to help make up the difference in the full 1" thickness. Very nice looking finished product, nonetheless! I only wish I could smell it -- the mere thought literally made my mouth water! 😋🤤😆

Clear base as first layer - let it cool down , then you can follow the steps as per the video so that goat milk wont go down. Does my thinking makes sense ? Kindly let me know

Yes, you are right. You can do that but the pattern on the bottom is sometimes the best, if it was clear on the bottom it might take that feel away.

But I wanted to ask a question. in the beginning of this video you showed a bar of CP soap. how do you get it so perfec and smooth. none of my CP soaps look so perfect. yours always look perfect.

I use a slab splitter then my normal soap wire cutter. Nothing special. Its in all my CP videos.

I have a small suggestion, not sure that you want to hear lol. If you were to take a sharpie and make a dot on the inside of your mold at different measurements. It would not hurt your soaps and u cld see how high you are pouring. 🤷‍♀️

Dean Wilson I was just meaning for depth/thickness of bars as I mentioned u wld have liked thicker. In the corner so u can see how deep they will be if u r doing same square soaps.

If you pour enough water in the empty mold to 1 inch deep and then weigh your water you will know how much base to use.

Yes, thats how I got to 1700 grams. But this time im thinking I will put a ruler at the end and pour until 1 inch is filled.

Why did you bother to cut them up. Why not just melt down , add some more melt and pour, put it back in the mould and add to it until it’s the thickness you want.

If I melted it as it is, the color of the soap would change to a light green only.

Dean Wilson I meant why didn’t you just melt some more melt and pour , not the first batch you had but on top of what you had. And then you could’ve just poured it on the top and brought it up to your 1 inch mark

I didn't know it wasn't 1 inch thick until I removed it from the mold.
