This lecture is about melting point, boiling point and freezing point. You will learn the complete concept of freezing point, boiling point and melting point.
Q: What is melting Point?
Ans: The constant temperature at which a substance changes from a solid state to a liquid state is called melting point.
For example, the melting point of water is 0 degree centigrade.
Q: What is boiling point?
Ans: The constant temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid state to a gaseous state is called boiling point.
For example, the boiling point of water is 100 degree centigrade.
Q: What is freezing point?
Ans: The constant temperature at which a substance changes from a gaseous state to liquid state is called freezing point.
For example, the freezing point of water is zero degree centigrade.
To learn more about boiling point, freezing point and melting point, watch this lecture till the end.

Sir I would like to sum up the main point : 1increase temperature means increase motion(it makes molecules move further from each other ). 2 decrease temperature means decrease motion(it makes molecule move closer to each other). 3 increase temperature means putting heat in things. 4 decrease temperature means putting heat out or making thing cooler. 5 melting point is constant temperature when things start to melt or change from solid to liquid. 6 boiling point is constant temperature when things start to boil or change from liquid to gases . 7 freezing point is constant temperature when things start to freeze or change from liquid to solid . Right?

Sir I have a doubt, that I think heat is directly proportional to the time so, how can we apply constant heat on any substance to change their state.

@@bambambholenath7153 bcoz vapour pressure of pure solvent is >then that of its solution ,and freezing point of solvent is also >then that of solution so there is direct proportional to each other . Depression of freezing point which is a colligative property so you can connect the relation

Please advise Sir... Water evaporation causes cooling of surrounding because energy is taken from surrounding to increase kinetic energy of water particles on surface and then water evaporates. (In a KZbin lecture) or The particles of water absorb energy from the surrounding to regain the nergy lost during evaporation. This absorption of energy from the surroundings make the surroundings cold..(Mentioned in NCERT... thank you
