I respect the O.G in this interview...but he’s not really giving the answers and painting the story of how the Crips came to be in a detailed way...ie How Raymond Washington and tookie looked up to this older cat that had his own click at the time that Raymond wanted to be apart of but the guy wouldn’t allow him to be apart of the crew..after that specific situation that’s when he formed his own which was the Crips...Also after forming the Crips a friend of Raymond and Tookie was killed Tookie told everyone in the crew to wear blue to the funeral because the friend that was killed favorite color was blue and that’s how Crips adopted the color blue...I know this O.G is giving us things from his perspective and they are to be respected...but those are point blank facts shout-out to Kev MAC on 💙♿️....

Yeah I agree with the dude , go back far enough and there wasn’t a “ jumping in “ process .....you were born into it ..... I’m 2nd generation Sportsman Park , grew up off 89 western ave , between St. Andrews park ( 83 GC ) and Sportsman Park / Jesse Owens ( 90 NHC ) .....no jumping in back then. First time I heard of someone being jump in was around 1983 maybe 1984
