Love these chats! I don't know any sewers other than my grandmother (who taught me) and its just so lovely to hear others share their makes and thoughts on the sewing bee. Listening to you while sewing my Jemima jumpsuit. Thanks for keeping me company ❤

When I was a kid we called certain jackets windbreakers. If I recall, they were more bomber style jackets. They were usually made of a fabric that kept the wind from breaking through, like a canvas. I live in Canada, in one of the Prairie Provinces and we can get very windy days.

Alma made me roar with laughter when she said why in the world would you need a windbreaker on the beach…..I currently live in Jaco Costa Rica and windbreaker and beach are two items that never appear together in the same sentence….in fact you couldn’t even buy a windbreaker here …neither the beach kind nor the jacket kind and why in the world would you want to ……😂😂😂 Love your chats, keep it up. ❤

It's a lovely cotton twill, so it has structure but it's not too stiff like a canvas would be :)

Aw...........such fabulous ideas and I love the analysis of Sewing Bee. BUT, I really find it hard to listen to 3 giggly girls!! 😮. I hope the website goes on for many more years when you're all a bit quieter.......
