I have purchased this pattern but I’m a visual learner so I wish there was a sew along video to follow x

Lovely video, interesting facts. When counting the pdfs released since 2017 did you include your ebook patterns???? I'm wondering if the real number is even higher. Looking forward to more new exciting things next year and I must get round to making a Penny dress!!!!!

Aww goodbye PDF/VIP club. I remember when I first started sewing just living the PDF release days - I think it was a Wednesday? When you were doing top 5 I was shouting “penny penny penny” but I also guessed Georgie.

How do I access my free VIP pattern code. I just remembered, as I went to look over the patterns, that I haven't been able to access it this year, even though I'm paid up. And I can't seem to find the Facebook page for VIP any more either. I'm sad it isn't continuing, but I'm sure you will have other equally exciting things in the offing.

Boo. That’s sad. I’d only just joined this year and was looking forward to next year’s pattern and choosing my included freebie. I will mostly miss the early access video and facebook group though. :-(

Some great suggestions here! This year I'm making a pair of pyjamas for my boyfriend as part of his Christmas gift (which I really should get onto soon....) One thing I would give a shout out to is the Makeup Bag patterns. I've made those for friends and relatives as birthday/Christmas gifts before and they've gone down really well. Plus you can add a little treat like a nice lip balm/hand cream/chocolate inside too! Also as a variation on Alma's neck warmer, you can make hand warmers which work in the same way - I've made those for my dad to use when he goes to watch football and he loved them. They're a really good scrap buster project too. Lastly - have you got any plans to bring back any of your SOI fabrics? I was gutted to miss out on the last of the Esmeralda purple viscose in particular, but honestly they're all so lovely I'd love to see them back in stock at some point!

Love the handwarmers idea! We might do some more SOI fabrics in the future so watch this space!

Very lovely suggestions! And you ladies are a gift to watch and listen to, so giggily and lovely, Merry Christmas to you all ❤️ I have made lots of things as gifts all my life, jersey hats are the latest, from cotton jersey remnants. And both of them to men actually. Toiletry bags and makeup bags has been popular as well, and potholders and fabric bread baskets. Scrunchies of course! For my grandkids I have made all sorts of clothes and also bumbags. It’s fun and always well received!

This year I made a nightgown and a long sleeved tee for my Mom (I've used the patterns before for her so I know they will fit). I made a nightgown and a fleece robe for my daughter. A really great gift is a set of simple drawstring gift bags out of Christmas fabric (I buy it on clearance after the previous Christmas). We use them year after year instead of wrapping paper and others love them as a gift as well. Everyone also loves the microwave soup bowl cozies (you must use 100% cotton fabric, thread and batting for those).

During the pandemic I made a proper tailored winter coat for my son. I sent it to his workplace as he worked in wine store and was finishing late on Christmas Eve. He got on the tube with the coat still wrapped and parcelled up in a big box - to go home, fell asleep and then woke up in panic as he saw he was at his station. He jumped up and leapt off the tube and the box remained on the seat beside him and was never seen again! He tried lost property but it never turned up :-( So 3 weeks later I started on version 2! He loved it and still wears it now. This year I have made my daughter the Friday Pattern Co Saguaro set in duck egg linen for the summer!

Wondering if the small is suitable for a child. Circumference measurements would be helpful if that’s not too much information. Love a beret great idea. Boiled wool would be lovely 😊. Just spotted the circumference measurements on patter details.

you could have a go at printing the pattern in a smaller size to make it fit for children, we've done this to make a mini City Set Bum Bag for example, printing at about 70% for a toddler sized bag. It will take some testing, the best thing would be to test printing the band pattern piece scaled down until you get the circumference size you're after, then print the rest of the pattern :)

Great video, so helpful to compare all the shirt dress patterns. I have the Penny dress but haven’t made it, maybe I’ll make one for next summer. Please can you do a video like this for your wrap dresses, I want to make a wrap dress and don’t know which pattern to choose.

Loved this - however, I am puzzled by the dress the lady on the left of the screen. Is it supposed to be shorter on the Right Hand side of the dress, is that what they call an asimetric (I'm sure that is not spelt right!) hem, one side shorter than the other? Sorry to be negative, all 3 dresses look fabulous. Thanks for sharing x x x

I loooove shirt dresses so much so that I have quite a few. All SOI ones except for a New Look dress. I have 3 Bonnies (2 with long sleeves), 1 Penny, 1 Dana and 2 Kates (one with long sleeves). I really like all of your ones but Jemima's dress is my favourite one 😊

I loved this run down! I need a quick "win" so I've put Florence on my list. I'm thinking a nice warm flannel...I'll need to line the skirt...

Thanks team! Really enjoyed that and I think Nicole is possibly my favourite although I’ve made the vintage shirt dress and love that one too. I think you should maybe do more of these ‘category’ videos. It’s great to compare the details of similar patterns and it’s such a useful and visual way to compare them. Diana

Thank you so much for this video! I am planning to make a classic shirt dress for our summer in South Africa and had been searching the internet earlier today for a pattern. No guesses for the one I’ve just ordered 😂 The Nicole dress of course! I especially love the different skirt options, short or long sleeve and the classic shirt collar ❤

Hi, I loved this tutorial. I've managed to make the skirt but at one point when you mentioned section A & B of the waistband, I was confused as I was looking at my pattern pieces and thought, that's not what I've got but then I realised you weren't talking about the actual pattern piece as a reference, it was written on them. Phew. I am really happy with my skirt and I will definitely be making more. xx
