It ended up making Tobias the protagonist of the series, although it fixed itself at the end making it all a dream of Tobias after he apparently tried to surf with sharks while juggling chainsaws off screen. This scene in particular is Gumball just puking out all the venom he's been holding up after Tobias said a corny line.
