8:18 I actually had an issue with this across multiple Discord servers and I saw a meme about this somewhere else. I got blasted hate DMs and eventually gtl banned from three different Discord Servers because I said “I can speak English and Japanese because I grew up learning those two, thinking about learning German tho” and they got all pissy that I said German and should not use the word or censor it. I am glad they banned me, being surrounded by idiots made me feel more stupid

As a German person I am offended. Lol jk but seriously that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. I'm not saying that because I'm German, I'm saying that because German is one of the many languages that makes up English and where we get alot of our words from. Being bilingual is really cool and useful no matter what language your learning. And just because Germany did many terrible things in the past does not mean we should censor a whole gosh darn language. Literally atleast one third of the English language comes from German, most likely more so those people are nuts.
