Amazing! I do hope it feels less arcady than the open test. Would be great if we could turn off unit icons, it makes spoting enemies and making "hidden" maneuvers much more fun

Я фанат данной серии игры, прошел все части будучи подростком, одна из любимых В тылу врага: Лис пустыни, тогда еще даже мира танков не было, играли в танковые сражения на карте Road, провел тысячи часов в этой части, сидел на форуме Best Way (ник палить не буду, старички узнают))), мы обсуждали все темы, у нас были турниры, я создавал в редакторе карты, после чего мы их тестировали, были моды, обожал мультиплеер, создавал даже какие-то клипы на ютуб, собирали тогда больше 10 тыс просмотров... Так о чем я? После просмотра трейлера все это вспомнил, как буд-то это прошлое. А что с этой частью? Так тут ничего нового нет, к сожалению, за исключением некоторых моделей танков...Звуки старые, текстуры старые, даже текстуры дороги поленились поменять. Короче, это игра отстает лет на 10, я понимаю что ресурсов не хватило все делать с нуля т.к. с тех времен много воды утекло, но все же, думаю будет интересно больше старичкам этой серии, кто только будет знакомиться, будет чувствовать устаревший продукт, и мне грустно это осознавать как фанату этой игры ...(

Самая большая проблема это что движок старый, физика устарела, движения техники и пехоты из 2010 года, а обертка типа другая. Это как внешне кузов самого последнего s класса (223), а салон от 220, где еще касеты можно вставить))

Модели всей техники новые, звуки выстрелов и передвижений новые, текстуры домов и всяких ящиков новые. Из старого осталась озвучка пехоты, но вроде бы она и так норм, для ностальгии как раз. При этом она дополнена новыми фразами. А так есть много новых юнитов, механик, новые режимы, новые миссии. По трейлеру это сложно, конечно, понять. Трейлер как будто вообще на низких настройках графики писали. Но, в любом случае графика и звуки в новой игре очевидно качественнее прошлых версий. Это легко заметить, если сравнивать стримы двух игр и приближать те же модельки Хотя, я согласен, что для 2023 года хотелось бы что-то покруче. И думаю, если бы у бествей был бы бюджет коха, было бы интереснее.

I am not trying to jinx it or make some wild prediction here, but I would say that just based off the trailer, its giving a lot of old school CoH vibes and at least IMO, will end up replacing CoH 3 in terms of RTS WW2 Strategy. Because this just looks SOOO much better (so far) than what Relic has going on over there in their wonky reboot of their franchise.

I liked using GEM over Essence used in Company of Heroes 3. If Essence was setup like GEM okay I would go back and forth between MOW and COH.

I hope it will have a better editor, not as crooked as in the previous series of this game. I hope not all missions will be only with capturing points and flags))) but they will do normal missions. I made quite a few maps for the assault, but now there is not so much free time as before, nevertheless, we are waiting for the game.

The game for example brother in arms. You could give commands to an entire squad. Use real breath taking strategy. Command tanks just like in this games. But the details 15 years ago where just much nicer. What happened?

Considering it was WW2, from gameplay I saw, many gunsseem to have too high velocity and it doesnt slow down it seems.Trajectories of arty weapons in many cases seemed way too direct not going above to properly lob things. That way you can differentiate the guns and ammo. I saw rather very fast gameplay but it doesnt look bad.

I can work with the new GEM in MOW2. Can make maps dont know how to change alot of other stuff though or use mission editor which should be easy. They changed alot in MOW2 GEM. Only played singleplayer with historical battles and eastern front or western front in other game mode which I thought was cool. This is easy to change and make better. Alot of players are going to quit playing when they see like demolition rangers parachuting before landings or marines on D Day in Europe lol.

I wont say it was rushed. Theres alot of weapon systems that are wrong like mortars or trucks in singleplayer historical battles. Single man mortar in a mortar spot for the mortar team (2 man mortar tube not the single one). Ammo trucks or supply trucks with wrong ammo maybe when theres no AT guns like Pak 40s around.

The game is made with modern hardware , it is a new release. What you are referring I assume is using fully and taking advantage fully of the hardware and bring some creazy visuals i assume.

Well from what I've seen so far, since the comment I left on the reveal trailer, I simply don't see enough improvements since then to call Men of War 2 a proper sequel. While I noticed things that I definitely find interesting, notably the trenches and proper hills/cliffs, we're just nowhere near close enough to the right amount of 'core' improvements the sequel needed to be called one. In my opinion, the lack of such improvements is just going to be crippling in the long run. I don't know how long you plan to keep working on it after release but I'm going to wait a good year to see how things goes before I make a final decision regarding the purchase of this game. ----- I'll repost the comment I'd made at the time for context. ----- I'm glad to hear about this but I'm going to wait and see what you have to offer before getting hyped. More than missions, visuals and units, what I'm looking for is improvements, something that will make Men of War II a foundation for the following games to build upon. What I would like to see is: Soldiers being able to crouch and move, walk and shoot, run/sprint and dive to prone. Setting MGs positions in buildings like we could place soldiers in the previous games. The ability to throw grenades while walking or running. Sending soldiers to assault and kill the crew of enemy vehicles either with guns or grenades. The ability to use grenades directly on artillery pieces or MGs to destroy them. Improvements for firing from cover with our soldiers no longer over exposing themselves needlessly. A day/night cycle. Improvements for the fortify mechanics, basic trenches and sandbags options for common soldiers and crew but advanced options for engineers. That's what I think is needed to make Men of War a better game. I played these games for a long time and even though I love them, I know they can be even better.

no naval units. Aircraft are an important part of the game, even though you do not control them in the same way as other units - you call in airstrikes, send them on a scouting fly-by, or drop in paratroopers at a location, and there are anti-aircraft units that can shoot them down.

Who is it working on MOW2? This is actually an easy fix whoever wants to fix the game. Is that how this works with game companies? GEM is good to use. When I say fix I mean remake the entire game. Yes I hated Rome 2 Total War too when it came out. Three Kingdoms Total War is actually okay.
