I promised my boyfriend that I would try to cut his hair the next time he needed a new hair cut, and sort of regretted it this morning when he asked me about it, as I've never done it before. But now that I've seen this video, I feel a slightly bit confident that I at least know what to do and what hairstyle to go for. We'll see how it goes from there, haha! Thanks so much for making these videos!

Fabulous! This is essentially my haircut and I'm a female. An almost 50yo one at that! I love my stylist but sometimes I can't get in soon enough and I need around with my hair myself. I just used clippers on the back because it was too crazy back there and needed to know better ways to blend it. Thank you so much! If you're in DFW I'd love to be a model for a short funky cut!
@tarafullerton87889 жыл бұрын
Loved your texturizing/thinning technique while twisting the hair. I barber at a military base and the majority of the soldiers want to keep it super short on the sides but get as close to regulations as possible on top, therefore, I am always looking for new ways to de-bulk.

It's really nice that you take some time to show people how to do a men's haircut. Honestly I find it way more difficult cut mens hair and I find this tutorial really helpful because I've been trying to get my sons haircut something similar to this but longer on the lower back and sides (we're going for a Tom Cruise haircut). Unfortunately it always looks odd between the short line and the blending of the longer hair near the top so I always end up going shorter and shorter and then it just doesn't look the way I wanted it to. I will try your tip with that interesting scissor to see if that helps getting rid of those awkward lines. I appreciate the help thank you. :)

To anyone not comfortable with scissor over comb after the three and a half guard, you can pull the hair out on the sides straight up and down, pointing toward the ceiling and and floor. Take sections up till you run out if hair. But always keep that cutting line the same angle. (Up and down). Then if there's a little line it will come out with the number four guard after. Still a line? Use a 3 and 3/4's

@smokeoutcity9 жыл бұрын
DatMexicanKdOnCamera a proper fade goes from absolute 0 into whatever your longest length is. this would be considered a taper which means from short into long (essentially a fade without the 0). he says he used a 3.5 guard on the bottom, it looks alot like a 2 to me, all depends on the texture and density of the hair

Great cut. Quick question, what does one do when your clippers don’t have the 1/2” setting? My clippers are the basic “Color Pro” Wahl clippers which only has one setting. Unfortunately, I just bought them and already tried them out so I don’t think I can return them (got on Amazon)... Do I need to take it as a loss and buy clippers with the adjustable setting dial? Thanks, again your tutorials are awesome 👏

I just ask for sides and back tapered, 3 to 3 3/4, blend the sides and top, and top about 2 inches working to the front 3inches, and it’s been working out for me. I think I’ll ask for some texturizing next time tho.
