Have you heard of synchronized swimming and surfing? Those are really tough sports too in the Olympics.

Thanks for uploading this, rings is my favourite event, Its a pity there is not any gymastics club near me and I wasnt able to be a gymnast but now I am 16 and train the best I can Hoping to reach some of that elements one day

At the highest level of competition, the competitor who enjoys it the most (during competition) is more likely to win. Everyone is competing. LIU Yang is also enjoying.

People don't know how much upper body strength it needs to do all this. Gymnasts make it like how easy it is but if have tried to do it, you will know.

I had such a hard time finding deductions in Petrounias' routine besides his dismount. Hope he comes back and retakes it!

i think its cuz his handstand was quite shaky the first time. but if Yang had done any worse, he would have gotten 3rd and Petrounias wouldve gotten 2nd

I found out about these guys by accident while I was looking up calisthenics, while I was busy researching relative strength. These guys are body weight strength freak-shows. And they’re insanely underrated. I have no clue why bodybuilders get all the spotlight.

We have that type of ring at 1 place which very high . Now i understand it needs partner to go up. 1 more ring we have in our routine ground which is short everyone can easily touch them

We kept our rings at about 9 '. With a matt below we could jump and catch the rings. Regulation height is 9'8".

Donnel Wittenberg given his height and limb length has way more of a load on his shoulders and arms. He is the strongest in terms of force generation nut not in terms of judging without considering anthropometry (limb length, body length and bodyweight).. if these were considered and the force vectors measured he would be so far ahead of everyone but like weightlifting, no points for having worse leverage

Olympic Rings is levels above Calisthenics. They are state sponsored athletes who are working on the rings daily.Calisthenics are street performers with decent enough strength but levels below Olympians
