The most thankless jobs I know of are a teacher and a stepfather. You have the responsibility and no authority. You can't discipline the kids. And the mother will almost always side with the child when he or she says, "YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER!" Like I've said before, you're not getting anything except the big piece of chicken and no peace. BTW, what if the biological father steps to you and says, "Leave the discipline to me. If you touch my child, I'ma whup your ass. And every time I see you, it's on sight." I’m 25 i was talking to a girl that had a newborn and the baby dad was already with another girl and she would be at his mother house my dad told me “even though I met your mother when she already had kids, I advise you not to do it” my younger brother was in the same situation. It was hard but we both broke it off with the girl we were talking to cause as a young man with no kids and the whole world ahead of you. You will never be the woman’s first priority. Also when y’all move in together you instantly become a stepdad. You have to time to figure out life with just the two of you, she always gotta make sure someone has her child first. It’s not worth it, then most of the time she still has this modern woman mindset. I don’t hate single mothers, if they’re a great mother I respect that a lot I just won’t date them, they’re easier cause they’re actively looking for a man but I rather take the hard route to improve myself and attract the woman that fits my lifestyle
