After the third day of complaining, I would have torn the toilets off of the plumbing stack, thrown them into the yard, and told her that we're shitting in buckets from now on. And she's damn well going to like it, because I guarantee there's no blue cleaning products in there.

Could not have said it any better myself. She's in desperate need of a therapist to work out whatever she's got going on, that would make her say, in the same damn breath: "My husband knows how to keep up a house, and even knows what Clorox toilet cleaning tablets are. I don't like blue toilet water, so I caused a problem." Paraphrasing, of course. What, lady?! That basic bathroom upkeep in my home lol. Trippin' 🤣🤣

On my very first in-person date with my late GF, she decided to wear a pair of boots with very high heels. As we were walking back to my car, her heel got stuck in one of the holes in the pavement and she fell on her back. I turned around to see if she was hurt. She was making some noise and I get scared. But she wasn't crying, she was laughing at how ridiculous the situation was, and she couldn't stop laughing. I decided right then and there that she was a keeper, and I never regretted a day being with her.

Individuals who pick fights over nonsense like "blue toilet water" there's a much bigger underlying issue, 99% of the time, it's not about the blue toilet water. If she actually valued her husband, she wouldn't even think about picking a fight with him over blue toilet water.

Yep, exactly my thought while watching this. A normal, balanced woman would never pitch a fit over that but would instead say something like, “I recognize that you are trying something new here, but I’m just not a fan, so let’s just stick with normal clear water from now on.” Escalating things into a week-long argument is a sign of discontent with the relationship. On the flip side, he should have just chucked out the blue tablet once she started griping if he valued their relationship. Long story short, I think the countdown has begun for that marriage.

Spot on, I'd say it's usually a product of failing to communicate a large number minor gripes, resulting in growing silent resentment and finally a seemingly disproportionate outburst over something trivial. I would say guys do need to be careful to humbly accept legitimate criticism, to ensure that his wife isn't afraid to raise legitimate concerns, but in many cases the wife's unwarranted assumptions about the husband's reaction (i.e. neurosis) is what stops her from expressing her concerns to nip minor gripes in the bud. This was certainly the case with my ex wife, as I'm generally very laid back, but I noticed that her father had a tendency to totally loose it over any small criticism, and she simply couldn't see that I was a different person. And on the flip side, she would frequently react very defensively to any minor request that I would make, and even seemingly deliberately carried on doing various things I calmly asked her not to do (with an explanation) because it caused some genuine problem that I would have to keep fixing behind her.

She is focused on HER HUSBAND ... instead of HERSELF ... and gets appreciation from making her husband happy. COMMUNICATION HAS QUALITY LEVELS ... which are determined by the number of senses involved, so "getting praised by someone to your face" is worth more than hundreds of "you go girl" comments on the internet. That's why it is very rewarding to "please your husband", but feminists WANT THE "MAN VS. WOMAN" COMPETITION.

She compares it to a 7/11 and mentions that they "live in a good neighborhood". She seems to think it low-class where she may be aspirational, like Hyacinth from Keeping Up Appearances. He, sensitive to this, changed out only their guest-facing toilet so it wouldn't possibly appear low-brow for anyone they entertain, yet it still drives her crazy it remaining in their master bathroom. Also, what's the blue stuff going to harm? Corrosion? Not on the porcelain. Maybe corrode the rubber flapper or rust the chain more but I bet it's negligible.

Have fun, can relax, chill, drink a beer, NOT have to be "working" on something every. damn. day. Women that can just stop and ask how you doing? OR... Just be quiet for a while. Women who don't make mountains out of mouse turds, that keep things in perspective, and know nuance and context. Women who still like sex after having kids, kinda important to most guys, trust me. One piece of advice I can offer to young men is take her on a trip for a long weekend. It’s inevitable that at least a few things won’t go according to plan. If she rolls with it even when she’s tired from traveling, and continues to treat you and everyone around her with dignity, respect, and civility, she might be a keeper. But if she starts acting badly, it’s a serious red flag. Anyone who can’t deal with at least a few things being divergent for a weekend is probably not going to be good at dealing with more serious stresses of real life together.

Lightheartedness and a sense of humor are huge. If a woman can't laugh at herself and the crazy world around her, then it is going to be rough. I have always hated the phrase "happy wife, happy life." To me, that phrase implies that if I don't make my wife happy that life will be miserable. Look, all relationships are hard work, take effort, require sacrifice and acts of service to the person that you are with. However, if that person can't choose to be happy within themselves independently of me and what I am doing then they will never be truly happy. No relationship will ever be perfect. It will always require work and effort. Run from blue toilet water women because nothing you do for her will ever be enough.

One other element to this is please men.. please, if you've had a woman in your past who acts like lady #2, don't allow yourself to get so damaged by that one woman that you think all women are that way. I am like lady #1 but my last boyfriend kept treating me like I was lady #2. I was beside myself trying to understand what was going on He had done a few sweet things for me that I really appreciated but they didn't work out for reasons that were nobody's fault, and I wasn't worried about it but he acted like it was such a blow to his ego - for example he bought me a pair of vintage cowboy boots that I loved, but they were a size too small and I couldn't get them on my feet. I thanked him profusely and told him how cool the boots were and that I really wish they would have fit (no critique in any way), but he still took that as a rejection. I was so confused, it's not like I could shrink my feet. Similar things happened a couple more times, and I never had a harsh word to say, I always thought he was sweet for trying and told him so, but each time it happened it seemed like our relationship got a little damaged I had no idea what the heck was going on until after we broke up and I met his ex girlfriend! She is one of the nastiest most judgemental and critical people I have ever met... and it explained so much of our dynamic while we were dating. When we were together I felt like I couldn't do anything right because I believe that he had already decided I was going to be just like her, and his inability to see me for the unique, silly, unconditionally loving individual that I am sabotaged our relationship... Sadly his loss because I totally would have made him a mashed potatoes mountain 😂

I’ve known quite a few light-hearted, joy-filled women whose husbands absolutely squashed every expression of that after marriage. One wife, for example, found herself married to a man who seemed personally affronted by any expression of happiness or playfulness on her part and, rather than sink into the sort of blah lack of emotion state he seemed to prefer, she embraced what she termed “stealth joy”. She continued to enjoy what she had always enjoyed, but ceased expressing that openly around him. But when he wasn’t around, she would literally sing and dance, laugh herself silly with friends, enjoy all life’s simple pleasures to the max - so she could return to being the subdued, outwardly bland person her husband preferred. She’s not the only one I’ve observed. But she’s one of the few wives who didn’t let her “spark” go out. I have no idea why some husbands can’t stand outwardly happy, light-hearted wives.

because youre right, i had custody of my two children and my 2nd wife had custody of her two children. i worked nights and she worked days so it was easier for me to do the fam laundry and chores and shopping during the day when the kids were school and get a power nap before i picked them up. she was tired alot so i would also go to the field trips, room partys and parent teacher conferences for all our kids when she couldnt go because she was tired and not feeling good alot of times. so one time she went to one of her boys room partys and came home(mind you all 4 kids were at school and i was cleaning and getting done with laundry hoping we could sit down and have lunch together before school was out) and she came in the house going ballistic on me about her being so sick and tired about hearing what a great husband she had,,,,they wish their husband or partner did half the things he did,,,she says "how many of the teachers and moms are you fkg? my mouth dropped,, i said first of all i think they meant it as a compliment to us, 2nd of all where in the world do you think i can find the time to have affairs? all this stuff in our lives doesnt get done by a ghost. i felt so broken and useless i thought it was me so i went to a therapist.... only to find out she was having affairs and she maybe felt like if she was doing it that i must be doing it. i thought the therapist was nuts,,, but during the divorce i heard some things from coworkers(we worked at same company) that she admitted after the divorce,,, these coworkers knew about her involved in these affairs and things and nobody told me anything untill the divorce.. then they were spewing information like niagara falls . i felt like such an idiot.i was so humiliated.. they said she would complain to them all the time about me to make it ok for what she was doing behind my back...all these years i cant allow myself to be in a committed relashionship because once my hearts committed its for good and thats my fault, because even though the red flags are all there im in love so deep that i keep thinking it will get better. and thats not reality. i blame myself for falling in love with the wrong person. i still believe in true love for alot of people but not for people like me and i dont lie to myself anymore

When life is hard you still need to stand by your partner, even if you may have an easier life on your own. Sticking through tough time is part of the wedding wows. The attitude you present is what is causing people to get divorced just because they are bored for a while. You can demand that your partner has the desire to make your live better, and if they show no such desire you should by all means run away. But reality doesn't always give you what you desire.

@KimMilvang I totally agree with this sentiment, relationship termination sounds cute but marriage is not just a relationship. It's not like you're dating and can bow out at anytime. People who are so fickle about it are the ones booting the divorce statics to 50% + 🙄 for better or for worse means something and it's so hard to find men and women who can stand by their words. It's so much worse when there are innocent children involved. Saying this as one of the girls whose mom stayed "for the children" and I stand by it and honor her sacrifice because I don't know where I'd be without it.

You nailed it on goofy vs. too serious. I spent 20 years (actually less as she left me a few times) with a person whose idea of letting me lead was to judge every choice, emotion or idea that she didn't like, didn't go well or gave her the ick. I could be too unsophisticated one minute and be "gay" if I thought there was a proper way to do something. Finally at 56 I've met someone that equally appreciates private time without seeing it as an affront to her, respects my knowledge and wisdom. On the times she doesn't see eye to eye with me her response is usually, "That's interesting." She's goofy and allows me to be quirky with my puns and dry humor without getting a funny look. Things are so much better when you don't have to self-censor to avoid having to defend your personality for every word that slips out of your mouth.

She would let the dog out first who would run to greet me... and she would wait for me at the door with a smile, a kiss and a hug. Everyday I came home and I felt loved by her... and our dog. After 25 years... it was still as uplifting a moment for both of us as it was day one. My main objective every single day had nothing to do with my work... or money... or anything else. It was simply to get home to her as soon as I could. Never take these moments for granted, guys. One day it will be gone... so always focus on the positive and treasure each other.

I remember long ago in my middle school days (this shows how good things aren’t forgotten). A girl back then started talking to me. I was a nervous mess. And not used to girls randomly talking to me. And many times I actively avoided here but she found a way to keep talking to me. She was nice. She didn’t see my flaws. She joked around and was quirky just like me. And most of all she made me feel normal and appreciated. She brought out the best in me. We became friends and later that developed into more. But at that age she had a mother back then that did not allow her today date till high school. And she admitted she liked me but couldn’t date me. We stayed connected and glued to the hip till one day her land line was cut and I moved. We never were able to reconnect again. And till this day I miss her. Because I haven’t come across another woman like her since. And I’ve talked to so many after her. If I ran into her by luck somehow and she was still single and remembered me there is a chance something could potentially spark. But I don’t believe it’ll happen. Most women I’ve met are like woman 2 in this video or they lean more towards woman 2. The first woman sounds like a dying breed soon to be extinct. It’s one of the many reasons I remain single. I got fed up with it. And decided to focus on my own life. Got better things to do than to spend any time thinking about relationships. Only relationships I go after today is business relationships. That’s it. If a woman like the first one ever walked into my life and showed me interest maybe I’ll consider exploring further. But actively searching is something I’m done with. And if that keeps me single so be it!

There are women in this world that treat men horrible simply because they can, because they know they will take it and keep taking it. Somewhere they got this idea that because men by design can take a lot of punishment physically and mentally that it is ok to abuse them. After me and my ex-wife divorced we got in a conversation one day and I asked her why she treated me so bad. Her honest response was "because I can". This is the reason I have stayed single for years; that and she cheated on me with multiple men and sometimes women because like you said she was living that lifestyle before we got married and I had no idea and could not stop. She would literally start fights just so we could have makeup sex. When I would not give in to the tantrum she would go find someone to sleep with. The thought of winding up in a hellhole experience keeps me from wanting a relationship.

I have a love/hate relationship with your videos! I love them because hearing such a supportive women lightens my heart and gives me hope Sadly, I'm already condemned to the 25yrs in a ball & chain of what never was is all I get. I wish I understood that back when I could've done something about it. I recommend all guys and gals LISTEN to this young lady! If you don't, you'll be stuck in the same ball and chain of being a dutiful husband and father with no appreciation for the rest of your life. My role is to provide a home and maintain emotional stability for the family and be invisible. I thought that's just how it is. Now I realize some women, other than my deceased mother, do care about her man's happiness.

My guess is, she is cheating on him. She just got back from a "work trip" and he always has the house cleaned, does laundry and she has no complaints about that. So I don't buy she's a control freak. I believe she met up with her AP while on this "work trip" and now feels guilty. She has to find a reason to start an argument to justify her cheating and the blue toilet water is the reason. It will get worse from here and she will blame him for her unhappiness to the point she will eventually file for divorce. There has to be the straw that broke the camels back and something as stupid as this "blue water" is usually all that it takes. Now I could be completely wrong but who knows? Only the husband I guess.

I think it goes to show that women will always try and place their feelings of stress and anxiety on SOMETHING. No matter what you do and how much you help around the house it's never enough. The goalposts will always move because these issues are not really issues that need solved, it's just where their mind goes when they are anxious, which unfortunately is most of the time and it's not our sole responsibility to cater to women's mental health.

You are so absolutely right Emily. Like not just right, chiseled on to an ancient stone tablet right. Most men could not articulate it but we know exactly what you are talking about instintively. Most of my friends have xpressed it as "She's not like the others, she is really cool and fun to be around". I used to think it was "I don't want a girly girl/princess type". But you hit the nail on the head here, it's not about whether she is a tom boy or a girly girl, it's can she relax and be fun or is she allways picky and uptight. Unfortunately the high drama/wound tight type are often pretty good at hiding their true crazy until it is to late.

Oh dear I wonder if that’s what my ex thought in the end. I was always very sweet and loving and still was after we moved in together but unfortunately our move coincided with a new job that turned out to be toxic af. I was there seven years and I became very depressed and withdrawn in that time and ended up having a nervous breakdown. Things ended between us but I still love him so much and miss him everyday. I no longer know how to look after my own happiness as people say I feel as though everything I had has been sapped out of me 😢 losing him feels like the last straw

I was on the fence about my guy for awhile. Then one day, he was laying in bed and I was till watching TV in the living room. He got up, walked up next to me, booped my nose, and then ran giggling back to the bedroom. I've never forgotten it. That was the day I decided if he asked me to marry him, I would say yes. It was such a simple and small thing. But the fact he didn't stop to worry about if that was a masculine thing to do or not and he did it purely because he knew it would make me smile.

100%. After spending almost 40 years treated like crap by women, I took a chance on a younger woman who was chasing me. She has a lighthearted,, almost innocence in her basic personality. She's already cute, but her personality makes her look so much sexier than any of the "hot chicks" that I've dealt with in the past. On top, she treats me like her "forever" and actually cares. 1.25 years later, we've not had any remotely serious problems and I have no desire to find anyone else. I'll certainly never chase that other type of woman ever again. That second woman there opened her mouth for 3 seconds and I noped out.
