I have difficulties with a man (l think he is my ex, but he never ended the relationship). First he wanted space, then he blocked me and now he ignores me. I gave him too much attention. I did everything for that man, so l lost my value. Also l think he is a commitment phobic man and he didn't always treat me well. He is lazy too. He was happy, l think, that l boosted his ego. Now l will take Alex' advice and keep my distance. I will not write or call him again, so l will not chase him, don't ask him questions and l will not act needy or mad anymore. I will be silent. I don't think he will ever come back to me, unless it's for his personal gain and for the wrong reasons. I deserve better. He didn't even put me on a pedestal. It's just so sad that some women like me, put so much effort in the wrong man, because we love him and we even believe that he might be the one, just because he gives us sometimes that feeling or he talks about it, but his actions don't. He doesn't give me what l need, although l gave him everything he wanted or needed. It's so unfair. He should have appreciated me instead of blaming me. l am very sad and l need to pick myself up and try to move on with my life. He really broke my heart several times and l don't know if l can ever heal from it. 😢

I stressed the man I love a bit too much. I was needy. Needing his reassurance and he told me to kick rocks. He basically said he didn’t want to stay in touch and that broke my heart. I know he is an avoidant man, and I was ok with that because deep down I’m an avoidant too. I love him!! Cannot let him go but I also understand that I cannot ever return the same way. If I ever do try to get him back I have to be different. Indeed, I am different and I know that because I surprise myself with my own reactions and behaviors when it comes to the situation. I don’t want to lie to myself anymore, but I also do not want to be stupid and hope for the best. I have to take action, but strategic action and with the right time.

I recently had an experience that made me think about how some men feel entitled to control women, even before truly knowing them. Last week, while visiting another city, I met a guy. He approached me, struck up a conversation, and asked for my number. He was charming and made it clear how much he was taken by my looks. I found him cute, and we had a nice time walking and talking together. He seemed genuinely attracted to me, and I felt a connection too. However, things took a turn after I returned home. When we continued texting, he kept insisting on video calls. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable with video calls just yet-I wanted to know him better first. But instead of understanding, he got angry and disappointed. I felt that reaction was unfair and controlling. If he wasn’t even willing to respect my boundaries so early on, it made me question his intentions. I told him today that I don’t think things will work out between us. Even though I was interested, I couldn’t overlook the way he reacted. It’s disheartening when someone expects you to act a certain way before even knowing who you are. This experience just reminded me that mutual respect should be the foundation of any relationship. No one should feel pressured into something they’re not comfortable with.
