In the year 2020 ,still love seeing the 954 out there.Love the black/yellow-red-blue colour combinations.I believe that the 954 is the prettiest blade ever and maybe also the best blade ever. Its a dream bike for me!!!

As an allrounder, I'd place my 2003 954 ahead of my 2005 Ducati 999S and the remainder of my ten other bikes.

@@dennyurie4038 I came soooo close to buying a new 929 in 01, it was between the 929, and a 01 GSX-R 750, then at the last minute, the Yamaha dealer got a couple of 01 YZR-R1s in, one red, one blue. I test rode the blue one and that was that. Still own it.

I used to own number 6 and still own both number 5 and number 3. I also used to own a ZXR750, the forerunner to the ZX7R, back when they were still being raced in WSB. The old Kawasaki is still my favourite.

Ive still got my 01 R1, bought brand new, its in absolutely mint condition with a few tasteful period mods (ohlins shock, and steering damper, full arrow system, braided brake lines) its got super low Km on it, won't be long before its worth around the same as i bought it :-)

@@calibrazxr750 Were you fanging it when it went pop or did it spin a bearing or what? My one was a bit notchy in 1st 2nd, and i was told "they all are like that" A shift kit from Factory Pro made a world of difference, its a stronger shift return spring and a detent arm with a micro bearing on it, they make a big difference.

These are awesome to watch. This is when motorcycles were at their best in my opinion and it is amazing to see them all brand new still. Why didn't you put the TLR on there? It has one hell of a motor.

Test rode an Aprillia Mille R,and a Honda VTR SP-2,the Honda won and I've now had it for a year and having previously owned an R1,I would even put the Honda above the Yamaha. It's not completely standard, the fuel system has been remapped and high flow air filter installed dynotest showed it was shoving out 143 HP at peak revs.

@@uhtred7860 in total agreement. Just lost any individuality then too. Not a fan of the modern Michael bay transformer robot look either..
