My son was half owner in that boat"Four Kids" and the fish market. Two of my sons their wives my nephew and his wife all live there on the vineyard in menemsha area. Next time you're there and you need a ride or to the store or anything like that give us a call. They all fish surf clam have big clambakes we would love to entertain you. i love living in a coastal community, spring, summer and fall, lots of activities, movies at the lake, carnival, live music all over the island, then in the start of november, a ghost town, the holidays are each of us on the island sharing food and other fine things like wine and spirits, then comes april, the boom starts again. gotta love it. im mid/southern atlantic but all works about the same on these little islands lining the atlantic coast. thanks for sharing. love seeing all these little islands and towns along the atlantic.

Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are both great places to visit. The statue you showed at 6:10 is the Swordfish Harpooner Sculpture and was returned to it's place in Feb. 17.

Hi - I believe the white and red rocks you saw on Martha's Vineyard were the clay cliffs - they were much larger many years ago - as children we would climb up and slide down them... I am sad to think that we may have contributed to their erosion. So glad you are enjoying Martha's Vineyard!!! Thank you for sharing!

In the future take your Whaler in Menemsha into the bay go to Picnic point, its a great sandbar- you hang out swim and explore point behind it tons of fish and interesting birds.. Nice and quiet, water is warm and relaxing.

Try the coast guard beach in Eastham at the end of Cape Cod for surf supposed to be the spot,but do watch for sharks.

I lived on the Vineyard from 1995-2000. Menemsha, especially a sunset picnic there was one of my very favorite spots, like where Popeye should live. You pointed out the Gay Head cliffs at 6:20 looking for surfing spots. Never saw much surfing done on the Vineyard. You were at the south shore where Vineyard Sound meets the Atlantic there. Surfing if anywhere I think would be further east, South Beach at Edgartown.

Come back to Southern New England in the summer. The islands are all hopping and there’s a lot to do. Most of the real fun stuff like the beach, surfing and snorkeling are free. Anchoring is free too. If you prefer moorings they run between $40 to $50/night so not too expensive. It’s like the Bahamas in the summer.....water is touch colder...lol So many places to go. Check out Hadley Harbor while your in the area.

If you are heading towards Vineyard Haven you might want to try tashmoo pond, its just before Vineyard Haven, great protected anchorage and its a short walk to Vineyard Haven, Much more protection than Vineyard Haven. Just hug the east jetty when you come in! Once you in its easy. We have made it with 5 ft draft

It won't be much longer - just a few more weeks of warm weather left up in that area of the Northeast, then they both will be wearing nothing but winter coats if they continue to stay up there. As crazy as the weather has been this year, it would not surprise me if there is traces of snow by Halloween in that area of the Northeast.
