Who cares if politics played a minor role in getting their new evidence finally heard, when politics so clearly played a role in getting them convicted in the 90s, with the judge (after colluding with the DA's office) suddenly changing all his rulings from the first trial to rig the second trial for a first degree murder conviction only, including suppressing the overwhelming abuse evidence that the prosecutors couldn't defeat in the first trial. He clearly did this because the DA's office kept losing high profile cases at the time, one after another. These men have more than paid their dues to society by now, and have totally been rehabilitated by every measure, and have been model prisoners for decades. This injustice against these abuse victims of that rigged second trial needs to be set right. Even the prosecutor Pam Bozanich from the first trial could admit that these boys were abused and that the father's death was a plus to mankind. There are people who committed far worse crimes without the psychological impact of lifelong trauma influencing their actions, who have been out on plea deals or who have gotten parole. These men need to be freed immediately.
