Meng Whippet WW1 Tank Model Build Pt1

In this episode we build Meng's superbly cast and detailed Mark A medium tank. Although the vehicle looks simple compared to today's high-tech tanks the abundance of wheels, small parts, faceted structures and numerous individual workable tracks links do require experience, skill and above-all patience, making the kit more suitable for experienced builders. Although the kit is moderately priced when compared to other modern and recent releases, there is no compromise in quality, but it does lack extras such as stowage (although there are grousers and tow cables), figures, and interior details. Still for anyone interested in tank history and the evolution of armoured tank technology, the kit provides a fascinating study and satisfying build experience.

Thanks Azzy. One of these days I have to get around to the Mk1 but sadly the kit prices are pretty steep. Still you got to love these archaic, almost primitive early designs. Poor chaps had to go through hell just to drive to get into the hell of the battle. All the best to you and thank you for the note.
