Literally though his death scene got me. His "Die with me" kinda sounded like another way of saying "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" but of course he wasn't going to live much longer. XiChen accepting it broke my heart and what got me even more was how Guangyao look like he was pleased but wasn't actually going to let him die. If you notice all he really did like the entire series was block his powers or whatever. He didn't even tie him up like he did everyone else. When Xichen stabbed him he looked hurt and to kind of summarize his speech (from what I assume he was trying to say): "I have never hurt you nor have I ever tried to. Aside from blocking your abilities I have never tried to do any wrong to you. Reguardless of the bad things I'd done I'd never hurt you, ever. And yet, you stabbed me without hesitation. *I loved you but you didn't love me back*" As he was walking toward him pulling the sword through himself I honestly thought he was walking toward him to give him one last kiss cause they got hella close. After he decided to wreck the building though, he decided to test one last time if XiChen ever loved him at all. He asked him to die with him and when Xichen silently agreed, he was like I love you too *Yeet* Lol I'm prob romanticizing this too much but their relationship is a bit complicated seeing how complex of a character Guangyao was. Ofc I partially blame the adults in his life for him now but he was still... Yeah. Anyway, why do people ship Jiang Cheng with Lan XiChen?

i watched the untamed before i read mdzs, and the only thing i knew about the source material was that wwx and lwj got together. so when i was watching the untamed, i was like, oh, there's totally something between zwj and jgy too. imagine how shook i was too discover that they weren't explicitly cannon. the people who made the show knew what they were doing too because they were really laying in on thick lol some moments i loved in this: wwx at 2:55, wwx and lwj at 3:13 (seriously, i emitted some weird squeal/laugh) i've never understood the xicheng ship, but it's existence was worth it just to experience 3:21-3:28 thank you for making these videos. they're so well done and i'm sure they take a long time 🥺
