Found you during your 2022 love to and won't can again. ❤ it btw. While you say it's going to take us weeks or months (?) of practice to get it right, I think if someone turns this video on every step of the way and does not try to 2nd guess you or shortcut you, we jump right over that time frame. I have the most beautiful dough for a Hubbard Squash bread rising. You are a patient and thorough teacher. I watched you and Kneady Homesteader several times each to get ready. Great tips.

I mix and knead my bread by hand. The older I get, the harder it gets to do. I just love the feel and smell of the dough. The first time I made yeast bread, the rolls were like rocks. I didn't think I would ever get it right, but i did.

I’m 58 years old and have always wanted to make homemade bread but was scared to try. I’m southern and grew up making biscuits and cornbread but bread wasn’t taught to me. This recipe is so forgiving. Was in a hurry and put all the ingredients in the bowl together. Neddws additional rise time durung 2nd rising. Despite not following the mixing directions turned out delicious. TY

I have made this bread 3 times since first watching it a few weeks ago. I have made various breads but have never gotten the sandwich bread just right. I've made bread for over 20 years. The past couple years it just hasn't turned out as well. I was trying to figure out why. I used this method (as the ingredients and amounts were basically the same ) since it was so different. It turned out excellent! I've done it more than once and each time it's excellent. Cast Iron bread pans are the best ever. I like to preheat my cast iron to about 100 degree's on top the stove burner which helps with raise. Thanks for the recipe LeAnne.

Hi LeAnn! I guess I’m old fashioned but I love homemade bread and it makes the house smell so good when it’s baking. I’m so glad you said about putting the mixer higher than level two, so many videos up showing them putting there Kitchenaid higher than two. Your bread looks so delicious. I use my electric knife to cut my bread too. You learned all the tips and tricks to bread making and cutting it. Smart woman in my book. Have a blessed night and day!!

LOVED this bread. I made it in a Pullman pan to make nice square slices. We had it with our dinner tonight and I’m going to use it tomorrow to make a sandwich. I appreciate your techniques, they were helpful to produce a perfect even loaf!

You can use vital wheat gluten. I think a tablespoon per cup. I made it once with prairie gold wheat and it was good and softer than usual.
