Lol I think everyone is in love with that sunroom. I think if I get to vacation I will turn up with things for your children like a meddling old grandmother if God gives me the chance. I never truly never meddle in my son's lives however I can frequently be heard hollering behind my son, "don't you touch that baby!" This I have stood corrected on & my son is a fantastic and appropriate disciplinarian. Something just comes over us grandmother's. One time my grand daughter drew on the wall. His wife showed me and my son wasn't home from work yes...so I grabbed a pencil and consigned it with "please don't be too harsh about this daddy & remember my grandmother is an artist too so it's in our genes!" It got a laugh but gave my grand daughter the break I was seeking even though she truly didn't need one. My son adores and is a wise kind man. Anyway I see you growing fantastic herbs for fantastic B&B meals!

Megan Fox Unlocked I started wearing a head covering about reading 1 Corinthians 11. I was wondering two things. How do you size your head coverings? I went to website on one of your videos. It asked about the size. Second thing is why do you cover the back and not the top?

Agree 100% don’t pull them out! Chalk paint them and distress the edges to give it a bit of farm style charm (like your kitchen cabinets in the previous home).

Such a beautiful house, Megan! I see a lot of people say don’t paint the wood. I live in a house built in 1986 and I’ve been slowly painting all the dark wood trim and the doors white and it has brightened up my house SO MUCH!! So I agree with you. And your brick fireplace would also be so pretty painted white and the fireplace door frame painted black, maybe?? This house has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! Congratulations! ❤️

I am very perplexed as to why you purchased the home. You seem to have complained about every room. I myself find the home very nice and charming I would be so blessed and grateful if I had that home. I can see a few cosmetic changes but the home is very nice and spacious.

Sometimes too much natural wood is not good. For me, dark wood can be super depressing. A little goes a long way. Love it painted a crisp white. Surprisingly, 🖤 your sunroom w/slim planks. (In Cali, we get too much 🌞🌡. 👍 as a screened in porch...in S/W we need protection from skeeters.) Blessings on your new 🏡❣

I agree with you about the dark wood. I would paint all the woodwork ( trim, cabinets) in the house white, but that’s my preference. I also agree with you about keeping the sunroom natural wood, it looks cute! Your vision of plants and macramé I think will look just gorgeous!!!

What a great house! So exciting to think of all the projects and making it your own. I would also use the dining room for a play room. So convenient while you’re cooking and sewing and it will keep the toys out of sight. I would leave the sunroom wood. I love the idea of lots of white and greenery out there to brighten it up. For when the house was built, it is in great condition. It was well maintained and had so much potential. I love the sunroom and kitchen spaces. I would turn the dining room into a play/craft/library space. So happy for your family. 💜

Literally cried with joy for you. Hey dont think about it being dated. It's so solid and in good shape.And bringing it to your vision is just a matter of cosmetic projects. Try to just enjoy where you are at sometimes. (I'm 52 and looking back now & yeah...just enjoy where you are because it's beautiful trust me) Even think about going with that era in a room. A little retro is in style and can be a fun inexpensive project!

I love the house! I was expecting it to be like completely 70's styled the way you spoke about it. But it's not that overly outdated, fresh paint, flooring & a few cosmetic updates and you are there. So happy for you all! When I moved into my new home the first thing I did was go around room by room and anoint each and every door way with oil and prayed in each room, I even anointed the driveway for every one who pulled in would be blessed when they drove up, and blessed when they left.

Consider not placing “office” into your master bedroom. You have the space to place elsewhere. Making your master a place of refuge without daily work interruptions. Also, kids will follow you into your master.

I was going to say the exact same thing. I love the wood cabinets; I love wood grain. You can always change the look with new cabinet pulls. The grass on your lawns (old and new houses) is SO beautiful: velvety green! Stunning!

Megan, I think you will enjoy the granite countertops as they are great for baking; rolling out pie crusts, kneading bread, etc.. I waited about 50 years for mine and it’s so much better than Formica, tile, etc.! Do be patient regarding decorating! Some things, like worn carpeting and bathroom carpeting should be a priority. Find a pleasant neutral paint color as this offers opportunities for changes in decor! Trust me, what you like today may change dramatically in 3 to 5 years! Welcome home!

That house was probably built in the late 60's early 70's my parents had a VERY similar home....right down to the bathrooms. Usually you can find out in your county records when you house was built, sometimes the realtor has actual dates of when a home was built, sometimes not. Our first home had actual dates of when it was built, and our second house the previous owners somehow thought it was built 9 yrs prior to when it actually was. I found out when it was actually built by going down to the county clerk's office. *************************************************** Megan, that extra double sink bathroom may not seem like something to get excited over now, but when Evonnie and Fletcher get into their pre-teen/teen years, you'll be glad you have the extra bathrooms!
