I speak fluent NASCAR. Here is your translation; "The car ran pretty good all day long. It did under steer a little bit in the early part of the race but Booger (the mechanic) made some adjustments to the suspension during the first pit spot and it handled much better after that. We had really good pit stops all day especially our last pit stop when we put in a splash of fuel in just 2-3 seconds and beat everyone else off pit road. We did have a little trouble during the middle part of the race when Ricky (another driver) blew his engine and we ran through the oil it dropped on the track. I did get into the back of Dale's car but we managed to not wreck each other. But for the most part the she was awesome". The last bit was pretty much standard ending for every driver interview back in the day. It was when you rambled off all your sponsors since you were required to mention them any time you were on camera. Then you take a swig of your drink sponsor's product making sure the label was facing towards the camera.

I hold my fire department's record for the shortest time as Public Information Officer. We had a meth lab fire and the Chief told me what was known and that I would be giving the interview. I moved all over as a kid due to my dad being military. Freshman year of high school we are in Olympia, WA. About halfway through the year we get a new girl from Mississippi.
