Thank you Melissa! I started your free 7 day workout 3 weeks ago. I’ve lost almost 10 pounds ( although I started an exercise program in January with no weight change), my sleep has improved, my energy and attitude are so much better! Thank you for what you’re doing!

Can I ask; were you able to do all the sets at the beginning? Or did you gradually up it?
@gracetolive30572 ай бұрын
@@926paaja I was able to do all the sets, just gradually increasing the weight. I am documenting my progress so I can increase as tolerated. I do jot down how I feel- “too easy “, “ too hard”, “stopped at 8, took a break, finished the last 2”, etc

Thanks so much for the information. A while back I felt very discouraged because I deal with a lot of health issues with MS, inflammation, extreme fatigue, and obesity. This was helpful though, I don't want to just give up and I will modify them accordingly to how you say it on things that hurt my knees etc. You're an amazing woman, and appreciate all your information God bless you! 🙏🏽❤️😍

How do you emulate heavy weights at home when you have lighter dumbbells?
@ProgressInTransformationАй бұрын
I’m wondering this myself. I’ve a tiny apartment, no room for a dumbbell and I hate going to the gym, even if I could afford one 😂. I currently use a 12lbs dumbbell & wear a 12lbs weighted vest. What exercise, weights do you use currently?
@MissKittyKatifyАй бұрын
I had lighter weights when I started which I still use for some exercises. I purchased resistance bands, a weighted vest ( great for bone density) and some slightly heavier dumbbells. I concentrate on form and speed. When I get to a point where my dumbbells don’t feel challenging enough I wear my weighted vest as well. I purchased one with basic weight but with pockets back and front. When I’m ready to challenge myself further I will start adding sand bands to the vest whilst still using the same weights. I also go for walks wearing the vest which increase the intensity of a basic walk. God knows at some point I might have to start considering using my 24 year old son as a barbell 🤣🤣🤣
@MissKittyKatifyАй бұрын
And I live in a two bedroom flat with my adult son and 4 cats! I also have been made recently redundant. 17 years of teaching material and resources currently stacked up in my flat ( I told primary school kids French so we are not just talking folders, I have puppets, games, props etc. )I move and shift things around to do my workouts. I also fear the gym ( for now anyway ) so I’m exercising at home. When I started her program I owned the lightest dumbbells. I try to make clever purchases to intensify the workouts! Like a weighted vest, resistance bands etc. Don’t take much room. So far I have only purchased a pair of dumbbells 4kg each). I’m thinking later on I might purchase a heavier set. Because of space concerns I have been looking at a barbell that you can dismantle and transform into dumbbells. The weights can be added on each end so you don’t need multiple sets. The internet is great for that! You don’t need to even get off your sofa to search and purchase! If you have the will you will find the way! Good luck.x PS: if you download her app there’s a free 7 days program there that you can try ( meal plans, workout, etc). I’m currently doing her 8 week challenge and I highly recommend it. I’m so impressed by the care and content I would have to right an essay to discuss it and I don’t have the time!

Hi Melissa, I am 48 and still having cycles. I have come to understand that even after trying keto, low carb, both intermittent fasting and longer fasts, even trying all your eating and exercise plan entails for over a month, I am getting stronger, but I am *still* not losing weight. I tried cutting my calories by 200 less than my maintenance calories, sometimes more, sometimes less, still no change. Per your suggestion in a previous video, I am about to take a thyroid test to see if that is the culprit, because I've barely been able to shift my weight for over a year, even with lots of hard work and discipline of eating right, and light exercise. Your program is the 3rd I have tried to lose weight and balance my hormones. So my question is, have you had any clients or women who have followed your programs with thyroid issues? And, if so, how did you suggest adjust their approach to it?
@MelissaNeillАй бұрын
Yes, we have had women facing thyroid issues and they have been able to see amazing results through my 8 week transformation challenge. I would highly recommend you join: www.melissaneill.com/challenge
@MissKittyKatifyАй бұрын
I don’t have thyroid issues but I started her program recently. Apart from taking créatine (to help with recovery it is also supposed to help build muscle. ) I have ordered some berberine ( she mentions it in one of her video). It is supposed to help with insuline resistance which I suspect I might have. I just received my order today so I will start today. It is meant to help with fat retention ( not going to explain it correctly so check her video where she talks about it). Make sure to read labels and select high potency capsules. They should have an intense mustardy colour. Don’t be full by high prices either. I live in the uk so after ‘extensive ´ research ( for a layman) I selected Clean berberine from British supplements. I’m not affiliated so I’m not advertising, just looked at quality/ price balance. As I said earlier I’m starting today ( they literally just came through the door as I was watching this video) so if I remember 🫣 I will report back at a later stage on my result. It may help the body shift weight.
