Kessler is a crazy talent. Very rare to be a 800m and 1500m talent at the top of both fields.

Yes - that just never has happened. Definitely historical. Bereft of precedent in any era.🙄

Hoppel is a machine. He is easily a medal contender. He never looked rushed, nor tired at all.

First time seeing an Olympic caliber men’s 800m race, and after the first lap I kept thinking “how can they hold this pace?” Probably the most impressed I’ve ever been with racers before

Since Hobbs said he’s not running the 800m at Paris (due to scheduling of the Olympics), is he going to give his spot to the next available runner? How does that work?

Gotta give props to Hoey. Up until a few months ago, he was around his high school PR of 1:47. Dropped to 1:45, then a 1:44.1

Murphy started showing his age in the last Olympics while Hoppel was the young gun. Now the young gun is the seasoned runner and ready to be one of the top 800m runner's in the world. Excited times!
