I learned more about men’s gymnastics in 30 minutes with these commentators than I did in 30 years of NBC commentating. Plus, I love their absolute delight in what they’re seeing. It makes them a great match to commentate this final!

Agreed!! NBC is insufferable, I can hardly watch them anymore

So proud of this rookie US team. They came in expected to not have a chance, and ended up taking bronze. Great job guys.

This Chinese team in 2008 was the most dominant team of ALL time since Japan last century. Insanely dominant dear lord.

5:52 I really enjoy the way that chen yibing does his Russian wendeswings on floor. I feel that they look better than the main technique of travelling randomly around in a circle. he seems to maintain it in the same place.

Anybody here after watching US repeat history in 2024 and taking the bronze again?
@mikeg83753 ай бұрын
Absolutely. It was crazy how many parallels there were with this competition. It was almost eerie, Especially when we all knew it could come down to the last competitor on horse, just like with Sasha.... and thats exactly what happened! I cheered just as loud for Nedoroscik as i did for Artemev. Now let's hope Nedoroscik wins the gold in the pommel horse final. I think this is our best shot at a gold as we have had in a long time. He can do it!

Watching this in 2020 and I just had to laugh at something they said after Jonathan Horton’s vault. “You get the feeling that life in the USA is a competition, don’t you?”. Well, considering most of these guys have either finished up, or are still IN their NCAA careers, I’d say so.

I had to respond in agreement because I just went back and watched this for the sake of nostalgia and that drove me absolutely CRAZY, especially now in 2017 when his name is known around the world with such respect!

The BBC are notoriously bad at pronouncing foreign names. It would actually be less offensive and probably more accurate if they literally just pronounce the name phonetically as it's spelled out in English. Years later, and they're still coming out with ten different ways of pronouncing the notoriously difficult name of Alice D'Amato. 🤦🏻♂
