I am a survivor of CSA and a retired psychiatrist. The missing truth in this well meant video is this: CPTSD is the result of an abuse experience that generates an overwhelming fear of death in a child, as it did in me. I went through my entire professional life having occasional near death reliving dreams and not fully understanding their significance, as hard as that might be for the reader to understand. Not until my 75th yr. did I have the definitive terrifying reliving dream that clearly identified my attempted (?) rape by a 2nd cousin, which suddenly explained the lifelong reliving dreams/night terrors and all of the symptoms of CPTSD, including the horrendous anxiety which drove my seeking relief in alcohol and drugs. Ironically, I found the "protection and care" in 12-step groups that I had never experienced in my childhood or professional life. God help us one and all!

There both dead now. I wasn't raped I doubt as a child as my insides would become infiertal but I was drugged a few times and made me wear a nightdressed and was very drowsy a few times. He was my best friend dad very religious. He always made me feel ashamed of myself he had a fascination with my bum. The second one was getting me paraletic but yes he did molest me but he did not shame me like the first one. Every single thing you have said is right and 25 yrs later you have helpt me to realised that yes I was abused. Also it's sick but the first paedophie didn't like me but planned through other people to screw my life up as he wanted his daughter to be superior to me. I could go on for ever. But from what you've said I can now I was realised yes I was aboused & I'm not just playing. And yes at one point I could hardly walk. Thanks so much for making this awful topic clear. I have to go to mental health route & in 16 years the psychiatrist never once or any of them asked if I had been sexuality abused. And I've been questioning it over half my life and was scared it was all in my head and made excuses for this men. I could go on for ages but listening to you I've realised I was child abused. But as a child I just go along with life and can't always pin point it. And my father was an alchy so alot of things went unknoticed. But thanks again for your time & help xxx

Sometimes whole community has a blind belief ,they don't know what's going on is just rape culture, nobody talks about it because it has been normalised in such a way nobody thinks it's a crime and how the child is going through after she knows what happened to her is just what she does not deserve it's too painful.

This is extremely good. I find it interesting though, this is wrong, but its ok for a child to change their sex before they are capable of making a responsible decision. Or go by a different sex name at school and the schools dont tell the parents. Or drag shows are ok .... It all boils down to what society deems acceptable.
