I have always struggled with mental health. It was only until my early 20's when I realized anxiety was consuming so much of my life and joy. It would take my sleep, my rest and my time. I am trying to be more present and not running from discomfort. But knowing ourselves more also brings so much more discomfort into your habits and routine. All I can do is to keep trying.

The biggest problem with #2 on your list is if you don't have friends then life is really lonely and that alone can lead to depression and low self esteem since one does not have anyone to speak to

I thank you for this, I just left Los Angeles after 10 years living there and finally I feel my 2024 is not thinking (over thinking) Im getting a great mental health reset with my family, a few arent doing their best so the fact im able to get that time in means the world to me, But also Miss LA sooooooo much. Family is never replaceable. LA will be there in a few years when I decide to move back. So MUCH LOVE on this!! I thank you! ♥♥♥

Love the part on movement at 9:48. Pushing, pulling and just moving the physical body in some way is so underrated. We are physically focused consciousness and so consciously being physical is so beneficial.

Although lots of people dream of moving to L.A. like you did, for most people, a move to L.A. does not come with pre-arranged friend groups. You seem to either have made friends quickly or had a group from the past. I think far too many people in L.A. are lonely, because as exciting as L.A.seems (and I have been there many times and it is cool), it is hard to make friends.

There's this book I've read recently where the main character had to choose 1 mental and 1 physical activity for the rest of his live. Not gonna write what he figured out, but just something we could asks ourselves on a cookie break :)

Mental health and physical health are, in essence, the same thing. It is literally impossible to stay physically healthy when mental health is comprised, and vice versa. It is very, very important to take care of your own mental health -- just as you take care of your physical health.
