I have never had a drink. My grandfather was a very violent alcoholic and Mum said to me many times "Never have your first and you'll never have to worry about your last". It worked. I have saved myself a fortune I reckon. I am 76.

Great video. Your social insights are right on. I've not touched alcohol for 37 years and one thing I've noticed when socializing is that more and more people are choosing non alcoholic beverages more frequently now than in the past. I personally think that's a good tend.

I'm really impressed with the blue shirt. I'll have to see what variations that they have. I have a close friend who thought that he couldn't be "social" without a couple of drinks. It apparently never registered that I was having a good time without the alcohol. Then, when his doctor pointed out the damage to his liver and body that the alcohol was having on his body, and suddenly he remembered when I told him, "You're your own worst enemy", he decided to be his own hero, and give up the alcohol. It took some serious adjustment, but now he's healthier, happier, and wealthier (that alcohol can get expensive!) than ever! Mark, you look wonderful! Of course you have since those college days when I started watching your channel - but you demonstrate that you've grown both older and wiser since those days. I would have skipped the tattoos, but then I have to remember that I got a P.A. piercing when I was quite a bit younger, and I guess if these are the worst things that we did in our silly younger days, we've been pretty lucky. I continue to wish you all the best!

I do not condemn those who do drink. That is a choice. The social thing is something I think we all need to work on some level.

You look great in all 3, but the first 2 were my favorite 😍 I'm approaching 5 years sober, and I've noticed that the more time goes by, the easier it is. I don't miss it anymore. When I first got sober, I couldn't even go to a bar without feeling weird. Once I "remembered the consequences " (feeling like shit the next day), something shifted. Yay for being gay and sober!

I felt like I drank more often in my 20s and in relationships. Now I'm in my 30s I only drink if it's at a party with people I know and comfortable around as it's a safer environment. Life is all about balance and finding what works best for you ☺

Mark you look good in everything, makes it impossible to pick. I can relate with the alcohol, I basically stopped at 25 when I started taking much needed medication. I usually go with seltzer and cranberry as a vodka cranberry substitute. I don't miss alcohol at all.

10 years this month for me when I stopped! I think I had the same problem socializing, felt like I used it as a crutch also. But I stopped for my health and well being. So blessed not having a desire for it any more. I like your T shirt choices, especially the price of the striped one.... but can we talk on stripes going horizontal? It would look like I was on a chain gang if I wore that! You rock it much better, for real. I like the white one but would have waited until it went on sale . The blue one looks great on you, I like it, priced right too. But......I'm not big on brand names and advertising for their brands for them, free at that but wasn't for me. Not to say that I haven't done so in my life.....sometimes you just really like it and gotta have it. Always treat yourself regardless!

You know what? This is so warm to have a small moment with you in this video. I am from Czech republic and have watched you since my 17 (now I am 25) and my boyfriend just broke up with me after 5 years (with almost no chance to get back, no signals throughout the relationship, just like that, end, and I can do nothing to save the relationship). Me and him right now live together and "thinking" if it was right decision. Well I was devastated and so scared for last few days, and still am, but seeing you live you best healthy life on your own, in your own beloved apartment and that lovely dog... Dude! you givin me so much joy and braveness to stand on my own and be happy as well, maybe more... So what I wanna say is one big THANK YOU! That’s great. I quit drinking 3 years ago in the middle of the pandemic. Like you said, it’s great to remember the people you met at a party. I also carry my own stuff to parties, but my friends know I don’t drink and now also include stuff for me when they do have parties.

If you need a great white tee- I recommend German brand Merz b. Schwanen, which is actually worth the money and sustainably made. And no- the organic cotton doesn't make it expensive, it's pure greenwashing by Hilfiger. :/ But it looks great on you!
