Hi guys, I had a panic attack whilst high a few months back and suffered REALLY scary DPDR, I was on the edge of panic everyday and I felt so alone and weird. But now a few months later after realising that it's nothing to fear and it's completely normal and understand that it is NOT me going crazy (this was my biggest fear) and not overreacting to the good days and bad days, I really feel a whole lot better, I can think about the things that would terrify me and completely brush it off now. I also avoided researching DPDR because that made me feel like it was the only important thing in my life...I had the mantra "There is nothing to fear..." and said this to myself when I started to worry about something. It really seriously does get better believe me!!

Jup weed is bad news and would not recommend it to anyone. I tried a bong about a year ago and got a panic attack 10 minutes after inhaling it. A month later i had 2 panic attacks at work and since then ive struggled with anxiety levels. I started experiencing this DR condition lately (probably from stress building up from being inside all day because of the lockdown) I do still blame all of this on trying the weed my friend brought over. It was my own fault. I'll try to focus on exercise and lowering stress.

wow, this guy is so on point! finally! derealization and depersonalization is tricky, somehow, maybe with weed or another drug, you've seen your reality without your ego filter. in a way, you've seen the matrix, and depersonalization/derealization is that conflict between your taste of "reality" and the conformity that you have known your whole life. it's tough, way way way way more complicated than youtuber docs imply. embrace it!

Another thing to consider about reality: reality is just a perception in our minds so not independent from our inner creational attributes and instant emotions. Also the active attributes and emotions we used within our capacity is not constent because we are living beings who learn, develop and explore. So in the deepness of our souls we have lots of realities which can be explored. Changing and transformation is an important side of life. And we shouldn't fear of being changed emotionally. Everything around us will remain their journey in unique paths, we will have adjust just our viewpoint to ourselves and outside world so as to build healthy emotions and a good overall life energy. This can be achieved by developing good thinking and willpower exercises, focusing on problem solving and main needs of life and experiencing all of these in real life not just in dream land. If we value things that are really valuable for us like time, health, life energy and use them for purpuses like providing for our needs and feeling good and safe we will be in the end in a higher state of mind and if we go on will be developed ourselves positively absolutely.

This is truly the devil if you let it. The key... Don't let it. Stop trying to fight it. Just like anything else. It's similar to Insomnia. The more you fight it and fear it the more it will bite you in the butt. Just let it be. Just let it be. Force yourself to read, watch tv, interact with people, smile. You can unlearn the negative pattern of thinking. Do normal things, that's the key.

My mom died, my dad turned on me and even that old friend of mine meant for me to get hurt from that brownie so I lost a best friend atleast I thought he was a friend until that time. Ive had Dpdr before that I got over for a few years, then it came back. This time around, Ive been gojng through it (on/off, some days way more intense and others pretty normal) for a few months. I noticed my hair thinning! And falling out a lot with every hair brushing or running my fingers through it, and a lot during hair washes. Ive always had very long, healthy hair and much thicker than it is now, so this is not normal for me. I know DPDR is basically super intense stress and stress can do this. Has anyone else experienced this dramatic hair loss?

I do walk everyday for as long as I can then have to come home and spend tge rest of my day laying down due to the other effects of a benzo withdrawal. I eat well and as I said walk everyday. Talk to a therapist. It may be that your depression precedes your DP/DR. Find out the imbalances in your life and see if you can straighten them out.

For some reason I will look at people and I just get thoughts like are they real? Or I’ll say I’m real? And want to panic. Idk if it’s normal. Like I just can’t comprehend life it feels like too much. I was paralyzed from a severe panic attack in October after shortly getting dpdr from smoking then having a panic attack and I’m so exhausted and scared. I feel alone. I stopped going to school and went online bc I’m scared to have derealization while at school bc it feels so bad I cry and I can’t just cry in class. I’m really struggling. I’m on Xanax to help calm me down but it still feels like nothing is right and or clicking if that makes sense.

Hey. I've been having troubles rembering what all I've learned for the course but, will have to look back at some of the information. I've been still struggling with my depersonalization I wake up I feel like I have no thoughts every day and have been having troubles rembering what I did for the day or what I did yesterday or a couple of weeks ago. Been having troubles rembering long term memories. During recovery is it normal for memories to randomly come back? What is it like to slowly recover? There are times when I feel like I'm getting better than I'm at square one again and get really depressed. I'm also suffering from panic attacks every day, feeling stuck alot and have troubles communicating with other people. The depersonalization is from a medication I was on almost two months ago and was tapering off from it, it seems to get worse and worse. Hopefully someone finds this helpful and know your not alone.

Mine is drug induced from mushrooms. 8 weeks 100% sober off of even caffeine. I still get these panic attack episodes out of the blue and dpdr comes with it. It’s like my perception of reality is different now. I’m trying to work with it. But in the moment of the attack it’s very hard It’s like reality scares me now. Why am I here. Who am I. What is everything. What is anything ? This video helped me though thank you

Mind sharing about your experience with mushrooms? How was it?
@BigManJev3 жыл бұрын
@@RealSwamyG It started off well. It really helped my depression,anxiety, and i felt it showed me things like why i was depressed in the first place. However there were a few times during the months of trying them that they did nothing but make me anxious,paranoid, detached from reality. So come early september i started having random panic attacks. And when i had these panic attacks it would feel 100% equivalent to being high on mushrooms such as being paranoid,panic,scared, deep in my thoughts. So i completely stopped using them, but the episodes continued, which came with severe DPDR. Im 8-9 weeks into this now, haven't used anything since, but i still feel the DPDR. Like you said my perspective is so different about reality. It bewilders me, it almost scares me sometimes. Just existing scares me, because i feel detached, like im in a movie or something. But the video helped, showing that im not alone. But even on my good days, i feel as if my perception on reality is changed.

Hi swamy G, this video has really helped me look at Dpdr in a different way. It's been almost 3 months now that I've been experiencing this and it really feels horrible because there's days were i just feel hopeless and can't enjoy the things going on in my life. You must find it on yourself. Only you can find your will to live. Think about where it all started and figure out how to let go of it. That’s the best advice I can offer.
@mareeammalick50633 жыл бұрын
to all of you,I too am suffering through this but 2 things are helping me get better and im kinda sure they will work for you too. 1)Whenever you are alone just assume yourself to be a motivational speaker talking about your struggles and how you feel duribg the depersonalization episode.And dont forget to include "I told myself that in a month or two,i will recover,i will be a happy person : the same person i used to be." 2)Idk what your religion is or anything but LA ILAHA ILLA ANTA SUBHANAKA INEE KUNTU MIN AZ ZALIMIN 30 times a day will literally make your anxiety attack a smaller one gradually .(JUST GIVE IT A TRY FOR 5-7 DAYS) 3)When you wake up,remind yourself of the thoughts you had before this DP thing.Reassume your goals.Make a timetable.That will help you in ignoring these thoughts and if you have them during your worktime,tell yourself that THESE ARENT THE THOUGHTS I HAVE TIME TO CONSIDER NOW. i hope this all helps.I too am going through this shit but OUR TIME WILL COME.we will come here one day telling that we fully recovered after sometime.Its okay. WE WILL RECOVER.WE WILL BE HAPPY,AGAIN its going to be tough but i guess WE WILL HAVE A STRONGGG COMEBACK. Remember me in your precious prayers. from one of you

@RealSwamyG5 жыл бұрын
What you're doing is "checking in". This is pretty common for DP folks to do. You can't control this in the beginning. But eventually, you've to learn to stop caring about DP/DR. To do this, focus your energy and attention elsewhere, like school, or furthering your career, or pick a hobby project.
