My ex. I thought he was The Greatest Man Ever and he let that go to his head and tried to get with all these other girls. None of them thought he was all that great, so he kept coming back to me. I was truly that much of an idiot that I would build him right back up again, and he would take that supply to build his confidence....to go try and get himself someone richer, prettier, and smarter than me. Over and over. It's actually hilarious in retrospect. I was always in honors classes and thought I was smart. Meanwhile everyone felt sorry for me because I was the greatest fool of all time. My ex was a neglectful narcissist. He 'missed' me so much, he got some random coworker pregnant and decided to marry her and move in with her. The second that baby was born he left her and the baby. Accountability was never his thing. I looked her up and realized she looked just like me, long dark hair and all. Poor girl didn't realize who this crusty dusty nasty brat was and I feel bad for her and her baby. He tried coming back to me shortly after. I made it very clear, no thank you. I found better :)

One thing I’ve learned to be truth more than anything is their “ego” is a false ego. Underneath that fake ego is a scared, insecure, traumatized little boy that is afraid of rejection. Hence, the constant, need for supply. I used to always say what the hell makes me any different than all the rest of them? Nothing. Just that I married him. And birthed our children. A narcissist won't miss you as long as they have sufficient supply. Once their supply dries up, they'll test the water with you to see where you stand with them. This is the fork in the road. If you reach out to the narcissist, you have given them the green light to continue misbehaving. When they reach out to you, the ball is in your court to outline your terms should you welcome them back. With a narcissist, you have to make sure to keep your upper hand.

I believe that some content creators who speak on narcissism try to avoid saying things like "The narc can miss you" because they are afraid that it will make someone go back to a bad situation! I just had a counselling appointment Tuesday and deadass the second I left and was about to start driving home, my ex texted me saying he’s fine with me hating him and ignoring him, and then said cuz he’s not good with words he sent me a playlist of all songs that remind him of “us” and “our relationship”. Perfect evidence of 2 things: 1) he still misses me cuz I’ve been no contact since December 29th (2023) and he can’t go even a month without contacting me, and 2) he clearly has not matured or changed for the better despite him claiming he’s in counselling for the breakup

The "are you willing to forget the past, I am" had me 😮😮. Because he could say this over and over, and then when he would get drunk, bring up stuff from 8 or 9 years ago. Then, an entire argument would ensue, and my responses would get me a fist to the side of my head. Somewhere that can't be seen. Dissolution in less than two weeks. 🎉 I finally started to respect and stand up for myself. Thank you for your work and for bringing attention to this.

It fuckin sucks. My 2 year old daughter sees a man with his kids and her eyes get all wide and she says, "mama, it's a daddy!" She doesn't understand what a daddy is. It feels like someone is taking my heart and twisting it. I feel so guilty for choosing him as her dad.
