@LiannaBabeli2 ай бұрын
Hey Nicole! Good morning. ^^ First, Congratulations on reaching 10,000 subscribers! An incredible milestone and you totally deserve it. You are a lovely and amazing human being. We appreciate you so much. Second, this is the most extravagant piece that Ren has ever produced. Nearly 26,000 USD was spent on this video and piece, almost 26 times more than any other video he's ever produced, even with all his latest pieces since Money Game Part 3. Third, this has won several awards, including Best Music Video twice, Best Direction, and Best Audio. Fourth, the piano he and then Charlie, the man who replaced him at the piano (a friend who is a part of his production team who is a classically trained musician and that's why Ren wanted him to play the remainder of the piano arrangement as he felt that Charlie would be much better at handling its complexity properly), was a 175,000 USD grand piano gifted to him by Yamaha. They heard the work he is doing and chose to gift him one of their most expensive pieces JUST for this video. Here is the BTS of Charlie and Ren practicing the piano section together from Ren's second channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWOtn5lvfahmrcUsi=lNXs6KJsS5scdbun and the BTS of the strings practice from that same channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHTOmWV8qpmcjMksi=YiEvtHkPxcfyRAvm Fifth, almost everything about this video's Behind the Scenes is available via an amazing extended cut video by @TheWolfJohnson and I HIGHLY recommend you watch it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnrNd2idasp3ercsi=G686J00qL3wAV98j Sixth, the piano and strings sections were composed and arranged by Ren. The first half of the piano at the very beginning of the song is his version of the intro of Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 16. Seventh, the female violist on the left side of the quartet got wet during the rain sequence and ruined her bow and parts of her viola. Ren felt so awful about it that he replaced her bow and paid for her instrument to be repaired and restrung out of his own pocket to guarantee she wouldn't have to worry about her ability to play her music. It was designed so that the rain dispensers were SUPPOSED to avoid the quartet, but somehow did not miss her and malfunctioned during the take. Makes me cry thinking about how truly selfless he really is because violins, as you know, are VERY expensive instruments. Eighth, this entire video was the culmination of Ren's nearly 20 year journey about everything, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. He recently put together a series of videos called 'Chapters' on his second channel (listen to the playlist here: kzbin.info/aero/PLKFO0C0E7JcvUyYZSyte8omVITyIKoS17&si=iiVKr0kCCPokAyVx), and then released a song summarizing all of them called 'Troubles'. It is immensely heartbreaking and 100% true to Ren's journey, forcing himself to relive all those terrible moments that he's had, and sometimes continues to have, but it certainly must be absolutely therapeutic and cathartic to release even more of his pain through telling his story to the people who care and love for him. Ninth, I just want to celebrate and appreciate you for getting so intimate and personal with your own problems and issues to give insight on how this song makes you feel. Something that the RENegades have discovered about the Money Game series is this: each song represents different aspects of Greed. Part 1 is about the Systems/Government, Part 2 is about the Methods/Intent, Part 3 is about the Example/Individual experiencing or causing or victim of Greed. Tenth, we love you and we appreciate you. Your vulnerable, sweet soul speaks volumes of the integrity and intelligence of a person who truly cares about themselves and others. You are an inspiration and I hope you never lose sight of that. I can't wait for more as you go through the journey of Ren! Much peace and love to you. ^^

You certainly did not disappoint with this. This was a fantastic reaction. I definitely think that your next reaction should be Ren's latest track "Money Ties" which, for all intents and purposes, could have be called Money Game part 4. It only came out last week. Going forward, if you want to focus on his singing my top picks would be 1) "Genesis (acoustic live version) 2) "Blind Eyed" (MC sessions w/ Sam Tomkins 3) "How to be me" (live w/Chichilla) 4) " Fred Again Mashup" and, if you are super duper brave 5) "suicide" + "For Joe". If you want more of his rapping, some top suggestions would be "Seven sins," "wicked ways," " Love Music parts 1,2,3, or 4" or "The hunger". Anyways you are superb at what you do. Congrats on hitting 10k. Can't wait for you to discuss "MG3" with Charlie

And lastly, your cat is adorable. It’s amazing how animals pick up our energy. And singing, by its nature, IS energy. Of course your cat wanted to help with whatever you had going on. They love you. ❤❤❤ Genius in story, composition, and performance. Poor Jimmy was misled and driven to a terrible life & fate by greed. It infected him from his father when he had so much promise. We need to do better for our kids & provide examples of why greed is always the wrong path. Rens' piano composition for this piece is stellar. The swells and runs are deep and exciting exactly where they need to be to drive our emotions. He is not classically trained (self-taught and still a student), and he composed a very challenging piece. The pianist who is trained was having difficulty and spoke about figuring out a bit different way to play the notes he wanted more economically because Ren made an almost impossible sequence to stretch your hands to play or something. He figured it out, and Ren asked him to please video his hands so he could play it better as well. Super artist who has NO Ego, a student of all music, and truly inspiring. Your vocals were beautiful and haunting. Thank you.

What a beautiful reaction to REN’s work here. For way too many years, almost all of my choices were based on the thought, ‘What will my mom think about this?’ I went down so many paths that I thought would make her proud to call me her son, yet never received the praise she lavished on my brother. At 37 years of age, I let go of the desire to make her ‘proud’ of me, but I had no idea who I was, nor what direction I wanted to move in life. After much reading, soul searching, and seeking the support of others, I decided I just wanted to be happy with who I was as a person and that the rest would then work itself out. One thing I learned was that change is instantaneous. You flip a switch and the light turns on or off. It doesn’t take time for the lightbulb to change. However, my decision to actually flip the switch can take a long time. Fear of what flipping that switch can lead to interrupts our decision to just flip it. I learned to ask myself, would I rather remain in the dark or flip this switch and face the dangers of what it may shed light on? Since I was more afraid of stagnating in the darkness in which I existed, I just began flipping the switches of change. BAM!! I began changing. If I liked the change, I kept the switch on. If I didn’t like the change, I flipped the switch off and found another switch to flip on. I really like the man I became, once I dropped the fears of rejection, the fears of change, the fears of the unknown. I am 57 years old. I am happy. I shed tears with you during this video. I smiled with you during this video. And, I love that I know longer worry how others may judge me for either. Love and warm wishes!!

You made me laugh when you went 'cuckoo' and brought a lump to my throat when the strings started. A good reactor adds to the experience of the original piece and you certainly do that

This is Rens most expensive production to date most of his videos are under £1500 ($2000) this one cost Ren around £30,000 ($39,000) to make. Ren tried to rent a grand piano for this shoot and wasn't able to get one, Yamaha stepped up and loaned Ren the £100,000 Grand you see in the production (yes I called it a production not a video) along with a tech to keep it tuned for him. If you want to know what Ren can't do..... play Basketball (Losing it), Box (Murderer) and fold a suit Jacket (Money Game III). The "only" cut in the video (the vocals are all one take) is as the camera pans behind the wheel chair, this was done so that Ren could switch his mic into a water proof container and insert it into his tie... "Rain, Rain, Rain" isn't sung in this production, it is represented by it actually raining on Ren... Ren commented after the shoot that as they cleared up the shoot site and left for home that evening, they could have been in real trouble if the police had stopped them, they had a bag full of fake drug's, fake money and a decommissioned firearm with bullets in the back of the van.... Great reaction Nicole you brighten my Tuesdays with your genuine reactions and little surprises...

No, there are two cuts, first when he takes off his money sack in front of the mirror (he was sweating to much from he sack) and the second from the behind the wheelchair before the string quartet. Still impressive though.

Wow I have watched this and people react to this a whole lot of times. But your reaction brought the emotion all back and had me tearing up. Thank you so much. If you want to see more of Ren’s piano skills you should react to Makay but actually only after “how to be me -live” “su!cide” and “for Joe” to get the full context. You are in for a wild ride.

There's just not the words to express how amazingly talented this song is. Sam is a master with this video and Ren's performance is captivating. There's always twists and turns in these productions and it keeps you enthralled with each bit. Who else can make an almost 10 minute video with moments of total silence engrossing in this day and age. It's masterful creation.
