Hi Nicole brilliant reaction, thank you:) now, Money Game Part 3. Before you react to it might I make a suggestion. Ren played a game with the world. Solve puzzles get clues with a suitcase filled with cash hidden somewhere on our beautiful planet. Not worth reacting to but fun to watch as it was in the build up to when he dropped his most ambitious video to dates I won’t spoil it for you but at the end of his game/experiment he literally said it could not have gone any better. It’s somewhere on his channel and well worth a watch just to build the mood before you react to the song which I know 100% you’re going to love. I subbed for the Ren reactions but stayed for H Mack and ren and love those little surprises:)

Ok so thought I’d best check. Video hard to find so the tittle of it is money game: live treasure hunt. If you watch enjoy:) ps there is also someone that put together all 28 videos to this beast of a promo idea completely self funded by Ren called Ren- Money game-Live treasure Hunt by Billy Vatcher. Anyhoo little bit of fun for you there:)

i bumped into to Ren maybe 6 months ago, when i say bumped, i mean he absolutely smashed my head in, i wasn't ready, not at all, i consider myself as a guy that appreciates good good music, both of a bygone era and new, i thought i knew what good music was about. and i loved it. ....... then i watched " Hi Ren "and my mind was blown, along with my emotions, i watched it countless times. and every time i was struck the same, then i found " jenny and screech" and then "violets tale" OMFG, i have never been so emotionally disturbed by music. the lyrics, the video, the music, his ability to mix it all into an emotional roller-coaster his singing ability, his guitar playing, how much talent does one man get to own ? he is a master at what he does, i'm nearly sixty, i have never been so affected by music in all my years. Ren, i salute you sir. i never knew that music could be a kick in the bollocks, and draw actual tears,,

RE: the rubber gloves - He's depicting actual torture techniques. The "everyman" participant in the money game is a prisoner being subjected to torture for his "guilt." The unexpected thwack with the rubber gloves & the loud noises of the bat - which could be used to beat him - would increase the terror of the blindfolded prisoner. The Shell Oil Co.began with the Samuel family selling rare shells in a London shop. There was an attempt to corner the market on those. "Why just shells? Sell oil as well." They obviously did expand into selling oil.
@danguy17122 ай бұрын
The "torture" parts seem like a combination of Kubrick's singing in the rain beating from clockwork orange with Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs stuck in the middle with you torture scene and the "bear jew" banging the baseball bat in the cave in Inglorious Bastards

I feel the self-immolation at the end of Part 1, reflects the act of the monk who self-immolated in 1963 in protest against the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government. There are other instances of monks self-immolating, mostly done for political or religious reasons, often as a form of protest or in acts of martyrdom. It has been practiced for many centuries, especially in India, for various reasons, including jauhar, political protest, devotion, and renouncement. It feels like Ren's protest against the money game.

My view is the man with the cover over his head. Is being told to play the guitar. Being told to stop... while blinded. Basically we do everything we're told while blind to the people who are making us do these things. Also drawing the eyes could symbolise that person finally seing the truth. And ren pouring the petrol over himself symbolic to him burning the system. Think it's open to interpretation there's many ways you could see it, I think.

Your joy & enthusiasm are so infectious. It's impossible not to be giddy when you get excited. I've always thought of the hooded guitarist as a metaphor for the worker at the bottom of the money pyramid, forced to blindly play whenever a moneyed overlord demands it, while also hearing his own potential injury or death echoing in the bat hits, never knowing when you could lose it all. But you keep playing, because that's all there is to do when you're a resident of fear.

@RyanSiggelkow2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I always felt that it was indicative of the acknowledgement of complicity--turning the mirror on himself. Instead of causing more harm to others to further excel at the ol' money game, the character decides to take himself out of the game;yet, the game is too vast and he only sees the one way out.

There are a handful I always go to (I’m sure you can guess which ones) and I’ve been commenting about a hidden gem of a live performance by a very well known group. It’s a little different for them, but it offers an incredible opportunity to see not only a vocal legend perform, but in which her sister shows off her own formidable singing chops instead of just wailing on the guitar. Heart’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Battle of Evermore” from their Alive in Seattle set is one of my all time favorite live performances and deserves to be seen by reactors who know something about singing.
