I remember being surprised in my travels through France and Italy. I can't say every place charged us for water but almost every place I went to we had to specify whether we wanted bubble water or regular water and they usually came in a bottle they would pour out into a glass. But I see a lot of water get wasted here in the states cause some people just don't drink it. It's not a bad idea to make it at least a request instead of an automatic thing just to save on some of it.

It’s a joke about Mercury Retrograde. The idea is an astrology type thing where it looks like the planet is in reverse and it can mess with life, basically a time where everything kinda sucks so it’s best not to make any big life decisions. However, the joke is that instead of people saying Mercury is in retrograde, they replace the word with other things like Gatorade or microwave. (Gives off a vibe similar to the bone Apple feet jokes.) that’s what I know, hope it helps.

Whoever said they get water for free to flex on Europeans clearly doesn't get tap water and asks for bottle. If you ask for tap water, it's free, even if you ask for a jar but you also have a risk of staying in the toilet for a while if you don't know the hardness of the water in the country you're in. Bottled comes with a price, which makes sense.
