If you’re a health conscious folk, I recommend using Mayo that doesn’t use Soybean oil/Canola oil. Use one that uses avocado or olive oil (make sure to check the label on the back). Better yet, you can just make your own with the listed healthy oils!
@CjqNslXUcM2 жыл бұрын
Canola oil already has the lowest saturated fat content and the best ω-3 ratio. All the other oils you mentioned are also healthy vegetable oils though and you're good on the ω-3 department anyway because of the tuna. sources: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canola_oil#Comparison_to_other_vegetable_oils en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatty_acid_ratio_in_food

I watch this guy on KZbin and he's a nutritionist, he says you should avoid eating big fish like Tuna, something about lots of mercury, he said it's ok once a month but not often. Salmon is my favourite fish. But it looks good, great to see you upload something different.
@shyy54392 жыл бұрын
I'm Maldivian, our diet mainly consists of just tuna, we don't have any kind of health issue related to eating tuna. I believe it depends on where the fish is caught (the mercury content) so yeah i don't know.
@ExcrucioVII2 жыл бұрын
It actually depends on the tuna. There are two types of tuna you can buy in store (in cans, anyway): light tuna, and white tuna. White tuna is a much bigger type of tuna that reaches actual maturity and ends up containing high levels of mercury. Light tuna is a much smaller fish, and usually has negligible mercury levels in comparison with its white counterpart. White tuna is indeed best to have once a month, at most, whereas light tuna, it really doesn't matter. (Source: my nutritionist spouse.)
@shyy54392 жыл бұрын
@@ExcrucioVII thank you, that makes more sense Although I don't understand what you mean by light and white, is it like just different sizes of the same fish? Since yellow fin grow to human sizes and more and even then they have smaller ones? So the older they get they have more mercury? Here in Maldives we don't really associate tuna like that, so I'm confused 😅

Really enjoyed seeing this recipe. One of the staples in my diet is a tuna salad sandwich. I generally have it pretty basic with simply canned albacore tuna, a healthy dollop of mayo and a generous amount of sweet relish, but thats it. What you showed is some next level of tuna sandwich, and the addition of smoked oysters is something I never thought of, and I'm amazed at the protein/carb ratio, never realized how much they gave. I'll be for sure giving this one a try, thank you for sharing!

Sending a comment back in time from the year 2153. I followed the recipe but I can’t say I’ve done it much justice. Reconstituted vegetables and pseudo-meat don’t match the real thing, or so I heard from my history teacher. Luckily, I didn’t have to leave my prefabricated shelter-all the ingredients were delivered to my door and all it cost me were a week of my universal income tokens! It’ll be hard eating nothing but the standard food pastes for the remainder of the week, but I think the taste and texture of the sandwich make up for it! I’m trying to savor the lingering taste and texture while it’s still in my mouth. Thanks for the recipe!

Put that on some toasted bread and top it with some sliced cherry tomatoes. I guess it's more tuna and egg salad, but it tastes great.
