Excelent and very useful talk! I asked a little time ago for senior engeneers for a project, but instead they send me these juniors out of bootcamp... so I've learned the hard way the lessons Carly describe in her talk, luckly these juniors were eager to learn and prove themselves on the ground and we develop an excelent dynamic I hope to improve though as a Mentor.

The other day a collegue asked me: "Are you senior already?", If you are, you can work from home!" he said. Well then I think I already was senior when doing freelance. Ohh those days! :)

I'd say good thinking to decide getting out of acting. From what I see here that wouldn't have worked for you ever

Good job! You've done very well. Just two minor things: Might as well be a lecture about how to be a good parent. All the same. The Slack advertisement is a bit annoying.

Too bad her mentor didn't train her to do presentations.

She’s obviously nervous. I would be too. I liked her perspective coming from musical theater and code academy rather than a traditional one like a STEM degree.

How is THAT the problem with America? About the only thing America is still good at is industrial innovation and pushing the limits of technology.
