Ok, here's the deal with fruit cake. It has to be home made. THEN you drag out your run, baste the cake with rum, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap, I mean no air. Store it in a dark cool spot ( my Mother used the top of a closet). Once a week, unwrap it, baste it in rim, rewrap. If the cake is getting too wet, let it dry some. You can do this for about a month or longer. That run makes that cake!

Hey guys! So I have a somewhat crazy food fave that's been a family tradition during the holidays since I can remember. It might sound gross/weird whatever but I LOVE IT. Get a stalk of celery, a block of Philly Cream Cheese (let sit at room temperature) and dice up some Green Spanish Olives. Regular Green Olives will do too. Once the celery has been washed and dried, cut them to about 3-4" long and set aside. Mix the cream cheese and olives together (it's easier to do with a fork) then spread it on the celery and enjoy. U can make this the day before and leave in the fridge to let the flavors marry each other or go ahead and eat fresh. Either way it's DELICIOUS.

Those Queen Anne’s chocolate-covered cherries are among my all-time favorite sweets ever! 🍒 I don’t at all associate them with Christmas, though, as they’re available all year. And the Russel Stover (dark) chocolate-covered marshmallow “Santas” are my second favorites from your selection.🎅 I especially love their “eggs” around Easter, both marshmallows and creams. 🐣 Being first generation Cuban-Spanish American, what I most associate with Christmas, which is really to say Nochebuena, are Cuban _buñuelos,_ which you’ll need to look up because they’re a bit complicated to describe, and Spanish _turrón,_ but not the type you tried. I have three must-have _turrónes_ for Nochebuena: _turrón blando,_ or “soft turrón,” based on peanuts; _turrón de yema,_ or “egg-yolk turrón,” not toasted, which is basically Spanish marzipan; and a newfangled _turrón de mousse de chocolate al cointreau,_ or “chocolate mousse with cointreau turrón,” a divinity aptly expressed by the very name.
