I like how to try to give Mephiles a personality beyond "evil and creepy", they made him somewhat of a theater kid with how overdramatic his lines here are. It's like they're kind of making fun of how 06 took itself really seriously, while also expanding upon it a little in a meta sense with how Mephiles is essentially fighting to reinsert himself (and presumably Iblis) into the canon again.

How exactly was Mephiles is being overdramatic. He simply said he wanted to go back to the main timeline. And Sonic 06 had a good story. Let me guess you are one of the people who think that Sonic Games should never take their stories seriously and should stick to dialogue like Sonic Colors then.

What I find odd is the Time Eater is a fragment of Solaris so wouldn’t Mephiles be aware of that fact…? Also as the God of Time himself I’m surprised Black doom coming back is our biggest issue, wouldn’t Mephiles being revived here be a VERY bad thing? He can’t break free and roam around like Doom? He’s all about time, he even remembers Sonic 06 even though it technically “never happened”. The guy is strong enough to be aware he doesn’t exist and had his existence blown out by Elise, boggles my mind lol

@@LordMaxed Good points. Though when was it said that the Time Eater is a fragment of Solaris. One possible explanation I can think of is Mephiles being extremely weakened from the destruction of Solaris. Hence why Black Doom has more control.

Theory Time: In the multiverse. Anything is possible. You may have gotten rid of him in your timeline Shadow but that doesn’t mean they can still exist in other possibilities. Then again that is a fan theory. Thanks to at one who reads this.

Holy shit He returns?! he hasn't made an appearance in forever It may be for 1 boss fight but that still a lot of hype for him I was hoping he would have been one of the main Villains in the sonic series like eggman and the demon looking group from wonder at last not but I hope After this game he gets a bit more appearances because he's a great villain he may come from a shit game but boy he is a great villain and I want him to be a mainstay villain not a one note villain!
