Mercari vs eBay - Where to Sell On (in 2024) ?

As someone who sells on mercari and eBay the fees on eBay are a lot higher. Just the other day I made the sale for $400 and by the time they got finished I only made $281. The total price of the transaction was $553. There was four different fees that I was charged on eBay. I do prefer to sell on eBay because of the exposure but when it comes down to those fees I'd rather sell on mercari because they have the zero sellers fee. It really all depends on the item that you're selling and what type of audience you're looking for.

Same goes with me it's such a bummer you have something that gets sold for such high price ebay just destroys you with the fees!

I just sell in person now offerup Craiglist . Turned a storgae into a makeshift store ! I quit ebay. That was the best decision i made ! Packing. Driving dealing with refunds ! No thanks All sales final sign in my store ! This aint walmart !

Don't buy on Mercari anymore. Aside from the tax and shipping charges, they will also charging now for rip off Processing fee and Service fee. The total price will ended up almost doubled.
