Mercedes AMG C43 vs BMW M340i Drag Race and Review

With the rise of performance SUVs, one might think that the hot sedan is on its way out. Nothing could be further from the truth as we still have drivers cars like the BMW M340i, Mercedes AMG C43, and Audi RS3 Sedan. We found ourselves at a racetrack with the latter two and decided to see who will reign supreme.

Facts, then next minute we’re seeing someone’s back whilst they’re taking off/ launching. 😂 Aside from that there’s no mention of weight comparison, Power to Weight Ratio. Very minimal info on manufacturer stated times vs their averaged results/ results per round And why are we seeing someone record with their phone. I know that phones can produce pretty good videos but thats rather unprofessional for a video as such, its not like they can’t afford proper equipment. Also very poorly edited.

I currently have a 2019 C43 LCI with AMG PE….love this car. Alas it goes back in October. So what did I order as my next car? 2024 M440i XDrive Gran Coupe. The M440 is even more rapacious than my 2019 C43….the 2023 C43….just not as good as my 2019 or the M440i. Just isn’t.

Merc has just messed up the C class esp c63 and c43 they now 4 pot and electric power, poor build quality, poor dynamics., not pure ICE but hydrids..they better do a recall and replace those 4pots otherwise face the dwindling sales,V6 would have been better or 3liter just like how audi and Bmw sticking to their core...will dearly miss the sounding of the V8 C63 , the previous models are the ones will be in demand...Thanks for the great video, keep them rolling

BMW has always had solid interior quality compared to benz, always, both my brother and i own a benz and BMW from 2006 even though we both have the newer models with me owning the obvious 340i, my 2006 325i and my 2007 130i are in pristine condition with only the steering wheel showing acute signs of wear, but the seats and general interior is bang-on, no squeaks, nothing, signs of slight wear on the drivers seat, the benz on the other hand has been redressed with new leather😂

BMW massively underrated their engines, the scary thing is this isn’t even the newest generation of the B58, this is only Gen 2. Gen 3 is currently available in the new 5/x5/x6 and 7/x7 cars and it’s made a huge improvement over over the already great Gen1 and Gen 2.

Even as a merc fan boy i dont believe the new c43 would win… they shouldve kept the V6 in the c43 or switched it to the I6 in the E53 i drive a c300 and would not upgrade to the new C43 i am upgrading to the C43 with 6 cylinders

In general overtuned 4 cylinders don’t fare well compared to 6 cylinders (especially at high speeds) so I’m not surprised. It’s a good setup to pass emission regulations, less so to get actual performance. And their shitty drag race definitely doesn’t prove anything

I was in the market for a new car over the last few months and I went into my test drive of the m340 with really high hopes and it honestly disappointed me so much. All of these journalists keep touting it as the greatest car created and it just felt soul-less as I was driving. Was it extremely precise with fantastic power and a transmission so buttery smooth I couldn't tell whether it was shifting up or down? yes. But it lacked character and that's why despite the smaller 2.0 in the c43, that was my choice. Notable mention for anyone else in the market though: Genesis G70 was absolutely spectacular to drive
