Great video as always. I have a B 250e and love driving electric. If needed the 218 hp is indeed available. The boot space is exactly the same without the 50L underfloor storage as there is the sub-woofer and tire repair kit. The 40 miles range is realistic but you must drive a 1000 miles before the engine/system knows your driving pattern. Tips: When possible get a EV charger at home Always go for the bigger screens as the experience is so much better.

Thanks Nick. Great video. I have the B200 AMG line and its a great car and as you say dont be put off by the 1.3 litre. Its smooth, quiet, torquey and doesn't need to be over revved to get the best out of it. Also very practical roomy car as well. The 10 inch screens are a must have if you can. Question: The MBUX system had an update yesterday on the car and it now appears to be highlighting speed camera locations. I had a memory stick plugged in to get them before but it seems there are double symbols now showing and a notification noise. Are you aware if Mercedes is now including this as I understood previously they didn't support it?
@npoleary3 жыл бұрын
Hey Matthew, I haven’t seen anything like this, officially Mercedes don’t support speed cameras as they are designed in Germany, speed camera detection is illegal there so naturally we don’t see that feature anywhere. @@npoleary slowly getting used to it. I need to lean forward to see what button I need to press. One very confusing thing is the “active lane keeping assists”. Mine is faulty (used car, intermittent inoperative, still within 3 years so I should be able to get it repair for free). When it’s off, I thought I’ll need to steer by myself... “active lane keeping assist” and “active steering assist” are different. The “lane keeping” make the car change lane with just the use of the signals. The “steering assist” steers the wheel to keep me in lane.
@npoleary3 жыл бұрын
Hi Damax, Just to help clarify these systems are all different and the lane changing is part of the Driving Assistance Package. Active Lane Keeping Assist - this keeps you in lane when the sensors on the car can “see” white lines visible on the road. The symbol will go green when it can see them and will be grey when the speed is too low or the lines are not clear. If you went over a white line the car can do one of two things, rumble the wheel or brake the opposite two wheels and jolt you back into lane. Active Steering Assist - this is separate and forms part of the Driving Assistance Package & is very rare in models in the UK. When using Active Distance Assist, Active Steering Assist will actively steer the car when white lines are visible and also if it can see a car in front. Active Lane Change Assist - this is also part of the Driving Assistance Package whereby the car can move over a lane and overtake a car and then move back into lane simply just by indicating. Of course as the previous point, this only works when using Active Distance Assist. Due to United Nations regulations, some of this has been adjusted last year for new models only. Yours won’t be affected by this.

Potentially! However each model has a product cycle (life cycle until a new one launches) of about 6-7 years. W247 only came out in summer 2019 so is still pretty new. However historically there’s a facelift usually 4-5 years in so there might be something 2023 to 2024 👀
