When you shift you should completely let out the clutch before accelerating again and, anyway, accelerate less while releasing the clutch...otherwise you will need to change it very very soon

The best advice that I can give is buy the best one that you can find. These older Benz's in general are very reliable but don't even think about buying an old and neglected "dog" to "restore"... A neglected Mercedes (or pretty much any other premium german car) can be a bigger money pit that getting a wife :P As long as you don't buy an high end model (like an S class, for example), regular maintenance in this older cars is not expensive, especially if you are planing to do it yourself. These cars are quite easy to work on yourself and there is a lot of information on the internet. However, if all you care in a car is the cost of maintenance, just buy a Toyota instead! These cars are nicer than toyotas because they are more complex... and because of its complexity, there are more parts to wear out... By the way, the wood is original because it's an Elegance version

Mate, you brits are one of the only ones using the left hand traffic. Look at the placement of the driver seat. Its a car made for right hand traffic. :)

Мерседесы это легендарные машины.Но вот эти c классы,у них очень плохая шумоизоляция.Едешь 80 км в час в в салоне как будто 200 км в час.Очень шумно но скажу мерседесы очень надежные автомобили.
