whoever wants to buy this car you need to read this. owned the same car for about a year, downsides: - transmission is slow compared to double clutch transmissions - interior ages fast tips: - if you want to do a roll race just put it in sport mode instead of manual as it shifts more accurately when in manual - when you want the car to be more tail happy press the traction button for about 5 seconds and its ''completely'' disabled - if you are looking for the best hp for a buck get a headers and mid pipe delete as the oem ones are very restrictive, row air boxes cold air intake filter and a tune thats easy 550+hp - recommended tuners are renetech, eurocharged and weistic thank me later.

This car/engine is simply a legend, the Edition 507 and Black Series being the pinnacle of this model. An animal of V8! For many it’s simply the best naturally aspirated V8 ever produced in a road car. Reminds me of the 993 911 which was the last of the air cooled 911s. End of an era!

Love the video Bro! I have a 09 SL63 AMG R230. Love the natural aspirated V8 6.3 AMG engine as well too! I agree this engine is unbelievable!! I wish the new 63 still had this engine but just did some upgrade. Don't get me wrong the new bi-turbo are great too but just fell in love with this engine. The natural aspirated engine, it's just an amazing and fun car to have. I highly recommend people get one or even test drive one if you can!! Many props to the natural aspirated V8 6.3 AMG engine. Scored a black 2012 with 24K miles at auction last year for under $40K. Insane. Cheaper than a new Kia ! At 61 I've owned a lot of cars and my C 63 is the best car I've ever driven, hands down. We have a 1/8 mile drag strip nearby and we've gone out a few times. Here in the deep south it's all about American muscle cars. Most of these old boys don't know what it is. " some fool with a C series Merc at the strip ?! HA HA !?" I've wiped the grin off almost every production Amer. muscle car out there incl the 5.0 'stang. Caught a few looks at run out that were like "W T F ?" Stock with only a Eurocharged tune, I still suck at launch but in two visits, my runs for the 1/8th have been 7.9/ 96 mph-8.2/87mph. If you don't have one better not take a test drive. You'll buy one.

Great video! From 2012 on, the transmission was changed to the AMG MCT wet clutch, which is considerably faster to shift. Steering and suspension were also tweaked, and it supposedly has 10% better fuel economy, according to Mercedes. Cosmetic changes were also made.

Great review. LSD is not included in the P31 package. It was an option. It was included in the P30 I believe. Love the c63 it is on the short list. They don't make em like this anymore. Rahar Gaming the head bolt issue was caught and fixed by Mercedes by 2010/11 any car after that will not have the issue, definitely not a facelift especially. Easiest thing to do is when looking to buy one make sure the head bolts are of the updated spec (ask at MB directly)

I want this car so bad. I want it but I’m young, I do have the money. But sadly I live in Wisconsin, where it snows like crazy. Also I don’t know if I can handle possible maintenance, MPG, and I’m not too knowledgeable in fixing any car related problems.
@WestVanGarage5 жыл бұрын
Not going to lie, MPG is not the best. As far reliability, if you can find one that has the updated headbolts, and the other common m156 problems sorted, then you shouldn't have much issues. The w204 c class in general is a really well built car.

I’m currently looking at a 2011 c63, but it’s not the p31, can it be added? And what’s a good price range without the p31, for a 2011 with 40000km-80k/km? And is there any major difference besides the interior with the 2013 model?
@WestVanGarage7 жыл бұрын
The 2013 has the face lifted exterior and a different transmission (MCT wet clutch). The MCT is obviously faster but I've heard its more unreliable compared to the torque converter one in the preface lifts. I've also heard the face lifted ones tend to overheat on the track more frequently than the pre face lifted ones. It also has a few tweaks to the suspension and chassis. As for price, the face lifted C63's are definitely more expensive, with anywhere between 5-25k more, depending on mileage, condition, and whether or not its a special edition. Pricing obviously varies with your location, but I'd say a good price in Canada would be mid to high 30's, even low 40's for a 2013 depending on the mileage. If you're looking for a special package or edition, expect to pay more. Hope that helps :)
@lexlif37 жыл бұрын
West Van Garage wow thanks! There’s a 2013 55k/km listed for 42k$CAD, one owner. And a 2011 47.5k/km for 38k$ CAD. If I can negotiate them down to a price, what would be a good bargain, and for how much? Gonna go check them out this week. Thanks for your help! I will subscribe to your channel!

alexander guingab Thanks for the kind words! I'm not an expert when it comes to buying and selling cars but I definetly see many 08/09 c63's on Craigslist for 22-28k. As far as I know, that's pretty much the same car so the 2011 should probably go somewhere between 30-36k if it's a good deal, imo at least. All in all, when it comes to cars like a used c63, I'd say you definetly have an advantage when bargaining because not everyone is in the market to buy 5-10 year old luxury performance sedan, and chances are the car has been sitting on the sales lot for a decent time.

Each people have different tastes a lots of people’s loved the sound the waste gate of a turbo makes me included and I know lots of people’s we’re discuss of turbo because it uses to have big lags the bigger the turbo the bigger the lags but today you almost don’t feel it at least it’s much less evident but I really think a turbo is the biggest and best invention on the engines department the easiest way to gaining a lots of power and I means a lots, but for the c63 I got to admit since there’s no turbo the sound of that beast is absolutely divine contrary to all others big V8 the sound is ...... it’s hard to say but I would qualify it as dry anyway simply loved it having the money I think I would buy one just for the sound 😂😂😂👍👍👍

I prefer the E63 S. If they could put the E63 engine in the C63 without dialing it down and the weight not a factor, that would be the "Money Melon". I always replace the 'Contis' with Michelins on all my Mercedes.
