Mercedes Benz E class W210 Transmission Problems Rescue and Repair 722.6 Gearbox issue Part 1

My 2002 Mercedes Benz W210 E Class Wagon had a transmission problem and needed to be towed home. In this video I diagnose and attempt to repair the transmission. First I check the fluid level, than check the TCM and pilot bushing, everything seems OK, so I order the repair parts and in part 2 I attempt to repair the gearbox by replacing the conductor plate.

The 18s do look good, but the smooth ride suffers.

The 722.6 is one of the most robust transmission ever made by MB. I do have several cars with this transmission , one hase 375K km on it. The fluid should have been changed every 30K miles though.

Ah, looks like a peaceful village outside a Japanese main town. How about an introduction about this village, why & when you get to Japan, age of car, car bought for how much, miles on it. Etc etc. 🤔🎉🎉🎉.. sounds like a diesel engine!. Regards.

Yes, I live outside of a medium size city. Actually it’s a gas e320 from 2002.

110,000kilometers and a third transmission :(

Daum, that’s kinda odd… Only 68K Miles. I think your car is lemon. Nice video tho. Do some more on w210 like water pump or wheel bearing etc…

Unfortunatley I have to agree...but I'm still not sure what is wrong with the gearbox or if I have another issue...leaking radiator into the transmission fluid. I'm buying a glycol check test strip.
