If your Mercedes Didn’t come with this button this video will help you. I used A GLE350D 2016 Benz So it didn’t also came with this button when I brought it. It was too hard to use with the key fob.
So I brought the button from Amazon for less than 30$ . So now I can start and stop my Benz with 1 push . Now it’s so easier to use without getting the key from my pocket to start the engine.
So I thought to share my experience with y’all I hope this video will help for you. If you guys have any questions please let me know

This will not work unless you have the Keyless option on the vehicle and you lost thr button. If you have the normal starting system, your car is lacking an dashboard aerial whick searches for the key frequence in the proximity. This is how thr Keyless start systme works. So you do not have this option, buying a button will not do anything.

Well, apparently he doesn’t even know that. It just happened his car had the keyless software installed and he made the video. Unfortunately many people who watches this don’t know about it either. They can check out their car if its keyless or not with their finger. On the keyhole (ignition) push the button once. Dashboard lights will turn on. Pushing it once again, engine will start. If nothing happens, your car is not keyless…

You can take that button and put it on your key chain dunno what else you can do with it b/c this will not work w/o built in push button system that comes from the factory when the car is new.

I have a 2016 mercedes e350 base model, purchased this push to start button on eBay , did exactly what this video said and when I put it in the key ignition it said remove push start button? Can anyone please help!?!? Also the push button I have has tiny silver flat pieces on the back of it unlike this one that’s all black

Check for this two numbers 889/893 after entering your VIN. If you don’t see these numbers then your Mercedes isn’t push2start enabled.

The uploader posted this video forgot to mention the most important factor which clearly he/she doesn’t even know this. For this button to work, the car has to have the keyless option installed. This can easily be checked just with one finger. Just put one finger on the ignition and push in once. The dashboard will light up and steering wheel will unlock. Pushing it once more, it will start up the car. If your car doesn’t do anything when you push down the ignition, then it is not keyless so this button becomes less than useless. Don’t worry, thank me later 😉

Does the key have to be inside the car for it to start? Because if not, this is rather dangerous, because that means anyone can buy a key from Amazon, and go hunting around for their favorite Benz, and catch, or carjack, some unsuspecting Benz driver with keyless go who's near their car. say for instance a Benz owner with keyless go, is unloading groceries from their trunk, or unbuckeling their little one from the back car seat, without their push button being inside, and Sneak thief runs up, and jumps inside the vehicle, and inserts his button key that he legally purchased off of Amazon on sale for under $10, in the ignition, and takes off leaving the owner at the back of the trunk holding he or she's groceries, or their child. I sure would hate to here of a parent being robbed of their Benz, while holding little Timmy, on the 5' o'clock News. Smh

(it’s not a key but a piece of plastic shaped to fit on the ignition) Because that can happen pretty much to every car. 80% of modern cars nowadays are keyless (if you not aware) so basically if a mugger is up to no good, he still gonna be just another mug.
