Great convertible Mercedes , very good interior ,but I still prefer the E-class Cabrio ,even though it is heavier and less nimble than this C-class cabrio the E-class has more room for me and for four full size passengers .Great review Thomas,and anyway I still like the red leather ,but I would prefer ,beige or tan leather instead.Keep it up Thomas ,great job!!

Love this video. Thomas, I have a 23 C300 Cabriolet in white. On your video at time index 3:35 you have the 1/18 scale models of the car. I have been trying to find these anywhere. If you see this response, can you let me know where you got them. Both those models look exactly like mine, down to the wheels. Thank You.

Excellent review, Thomas. Question, people - would you really go for C400 vs the C300? I have an option to get either at the same price as this particular C400 is a little lighter on interior options compare to C300 (brown leather, head-up display, fully electrical seats). I am puzzled whether I want to compromise these features over more power and then higher consumption, road tax, etc. Grateful for your thoughts, all!

Thanks! Well basically the C-Class is light enough to be powered by the C400. Not sure if the consumption will be really less though. And drop the leather seats, Mercedes has great alternatives

Hi Thomas , love the reviews! I ordered the C Class 2018 facelift in Tomas Blue with Blue Roof gray seats , with all the toys. I went for the C200 petrol 1.5 L with the 4Matic So has the 48V system. So hope it’s not too slow. Do you plan to review this car ? It’s been a long wait for the car. Ordered at Geneva motor show in March now it’s Nov 2018, dealer was great but still waiting. A combination of certification of the new engine and French plates form Paris.

SLC/SLK is a very good winter convertible i own a 2012 SLK and with the airscarf and roof mod that lets you open close the roof at speeds up to 30mph even while driving it can be operated,no need to stop to lower or close the roof,if it's not wet or frozen the top off it is one of the best! After all the SLK is 2 seat C class? But another great review.

Autogefühl They should remove that option all together. I have seen 1 year old models with the glossy centre console and they look terrible. All scratched up. And it looks cheap. I hoped that with the facelift they would remove that and at least make a matt wood standard or maybe glossy with a pattern or texture behind to hide scratches. I was hoping it felt less hollow too. Many publications have also complained about interior rattles in the prefacelift. Although the one I drove had none.

I wish we got the C400 in the US. Our options are C300, C43, and C63. It would be nice to have a V6 engine without it being on AMG steroids.

Danke für den informativen Bericht, das hat mir bei der Entscheidung für das Auto geholfen. Als langjähriger Cabrio Fahrer würde ich allerdings empfehlen, Autobahn-Abfahrten nicht mit 120 kmh herunter zu fahren, sondern die Zeit nutzen um das Dach zu öffnen. ;-) P. S. Wer meinen Beitrag in Englisch lesen möchte, dem kann ich google translate empfehlen :-)

I have a C43 AMG Cabriolet that looks just like this car. I LOVE the car...BUT.....the tires and wheels are very fragile. Have had 5 or 6 flat tires and 3 cracked wheels. I think the car may just be too heavy for a run flat or low profile tire. I've had several other cars equipped with low profile or run flat tires and not had this problem under identical driving conditions.

Hi Thomas! Cool review, location and car specs! Their cars are perfect in every detail, but sadly (in my opinion) they are failing continuously in reaching to give beautiful shapes for their cars! Their designers have lack in feeling the proportions and the design lines details that can make a car look beautiful! The interior console up to the mid dashboard looks dull and bulky, and with that middle screen coming over it without any study makes it looking so bad! What happens when the kids get hyper and hang on that screen? Lol :))))

Agree. Mercs today looks like blobs. The CLA reminds me a lot of a mid 90's Huyndai Elantra dragging it's rear in the ground like a dog. The E and S class looks quite OK, as the proportions starts to work there. And they have among the worst wheel designs available today.

Please do a drive on that new Mercedes Benz convertible door be on the inside and the outside and all the features and I want to do a review on the inside outside featuring the high dry and hasn't got track mode on that and and paddle shifters on and I want to see the engine in the trunk does it got a lot of wrong it don't I want to make sure got a lot of wrong because I know the Mustang in the Camaros at the back you don't have a lot of wrong I want to know does it got a lot of room in the back and the front the front. Long but the back doesn't so want to know does it got a lot of wrong kind of like the Hellcat a 2019 dodge charger Hellcat with 707 horsepower no deuda Mercedes-Benz fits up with that car.
