Hello, im a new poster. My 2015 c300 4matic needed an odometer recalibration due to cluster showing dashes. Everything was working beautifully until we plugged in an Obd2 odometer correcting tool, got it to read the configs and then the whole cluster flashed off and flashed back on with a bunch of lines and generic stuff. I’ll attached a photo. what’s weird is that the car turns on but I cannnot get it to turn off until I pull the fuel pump relay. And electronics stay on until I remove the battery terminal. when I plug the battery back in, it will let me turn on the car, but same thing, the cluster is stuck with no info at all and will not let me turn off the car. I think we burnt some important computer. I’m hoping one of you knows what happened and what we can do to fix this.

Sounds like the cluster is bricked and causing these issues. Get your local specialist to check this out.

@@carcodesecureyou’re right, the cluster was bricked. Was able to replace the cluster from a used car and everything works beautifully now. I only have the problem of my mileage showing dashes ----- because the cluster is used. I’m in search for someone who can fix this mileage dash issue. Do you do this?

How would I know my ecu is the issue ? C300 2010

Find a company who can run a test. Tell them what the exact issue is and ask to test ECU.

The ECU for your vehicle is located under the scuttle panel in your engine bay near the wipers. Just always make sure to disconnect the battery before removing.
