Mercedes C180 (W203) 6th gear acceleration

6 gears and 3000 rpm at 120kph? This is insane! Where is the point of the 6th gear then?!

It's petrol engine,not diesel.. At 80 has 2000, at 120/3000, at 160/4000 and so on. On national road it's between 2000 and 3000, fuel consumption around 6,5-7 l/100 km. on highway at 140 around 8 l/100 km

Yeah, I know it is petrol, but I expected to have lower rpm because it is 6 speed gearbox. My old old Astra F is 5 speed and at do 120 at around 2800 rpm.

Yes, but after that revs are growing faster and speed no. I''m sure at 5000 you didn't had 200.

Seba03111976 No, I don't. But I don't need it. 200 is something that Germans have the rest of the world is happy at 120/130 :)
