Oil can travel to ecu. I recomend to check and clean plugs in ecu.
@DaringBeefcake4 жыл бұрын
Yes its a god idea to check that, as oil does travel to the plugs
@besjancangu95033 жыл бұрын
thats true, i had evap code from the oil at the ecu from this thing and i manage to find it out only after 3 years from service to service. Everything ok after cleaning and repairing the ecu

Thank you for your Video, i have to do that myself soon too. What i don´t get is why people change the entire magnet tho. There is no wear on that part right? It´s the O-Ring and the sealing agent that causes problems with age, not the magnet?
@DaringBeefcake3 жыл бұрын
The problem I had was that the oil starts leaking into the electric plug and then travels all the way to the ecu, and can cause faults and fault codes.

Thanks man, great video ! Did you have some rattles between 1000 - 2000 RPM before replacing it?
@DaringBeefcake4 жыл бұрын
Joris Blouquy thanks buddy, I still hear the rattles at those rpms, not sure what that is.
@oktayaksu11424 жыл бұрын
Did you find out where the rattles come from?
@joshua1012913 жыл бұрын
what you have replaced is the magnet, the only thing it does is pulling out a „shell“ so the camshaft adjuster (which actually sits directly on the camshaft beneath the valvcover) can move. these rattles at certain rpms is comming from inside of the motor. i have the same problem.
@besjancangu95033 жыл бұрын
Ratles? Did you ckeck the timing chain?
@hussamal-momani43913 жыл бұрын
despite oil leak what does that magnet do? and how to know if its not working probably?
@DaringBeefcake3 жыл бұрын
well as far as am aware the magnet reads the signal as the camshafts get adjusted independently and send a signal to the ecu to adjust fuel and air.

What was the issue so you decided to replace the sensor?
@DaringBeefcake5 жыл бұрын
it was leaking oil a bit to much, has been for a while now.

I dont have sealent. Will it work without it?
@DaringBeefcake3 жыл бұрын
To be honest because it’s metal to metal it might leak a bit so you could just get some heat resistan sealant and do it then.
@ivanneykov82383 жыл бұрын
@@DaringBeefcake I got the sealent. Its 5€ for 70ml. Good for up to 300°C

@@DaringBeefcake would you say the magnet is the same from the varied 2.3l? their the same part the cars sort of run equally. I suppose I'm asking because I feel like mine is wrong because they are mostly shaped this way.

You only needed that rubber part you used at the end the rest was wasting money 😂😂😂

@@frankiegregoriou4604 ok cool, since it will leak again in future then will just replace the little rubber, and everyone reading the comments can follow your advice. Thanks for sharing 👍
