Camshaft sensors rarely go bad , they are Hall effects magnet sensor , remove and clean and reinstall , if your M271/M272 V6 is throwing cam sensors codes and your over 100K miles you have a stretched timing chain

Believe it or not I am getting a POA47 code which is related to a hybrid yet I have an 08 CLS 550 which is now cranking but not starting. It has new fuel pump, all new spark plugs has perfect compression and all new fuel lines and the coils are new etc. Either have shot cam magnets or bad cam but at least it used to start. You have the best Mercedes videos by the way.

@@SK-tn2qn what could have caused that in the first place? I recently acquired a W220 with the M113 and the night before just like this video, it wouldn’t turn over. Tried again and bam it fired right up, but the response from the throttle was a slight delay. Kept driving and it finally cleared up and it ran like a champ once again. I have replaced a few items like the fuel filter (fuel pump primes) and the crankshaft position sensor.

hi there i have 2 c280 w204, that would go into limp mode, at times on start would not immediately accelerate, or once on the road would not drive over 40miles. i changed fuel pumps and nothing changed, i get codes that the signal on the low pressure in implausible, i also dont get the fuel level not showing on the cluster (on scan i get a code about the signal not being correct), any thoughts please. kind regards

Hi I have a w204 c350 2010. The glow plug module whas faulty but dit stil start. The car is very heavy on fuel so I took it in they told me I must do a stage 1 then the fule will be much better but it wasn't. The car started to crank but wount sturt but if you put jumpers on it it starts. The battery is a new battery so I took it back to where the software whas don so he told me its the glow plug module so today I got one and fitted it so my obd said that glow plug 4 is faulty so I replace it also. The car still do the same

I have a C 250 that needed ignition coils to be changed. The spark plugs were replaced 1st. It was still misfiring after spark plugs were changed.So now ordered the ignition coils & was waiting for parts. While waiting my wife took the car to run 1 errand. And on the way back the engine light came on. Then engine light started to blink twice on the second blink. Car turned off. Any idea why a Mercedes’ would do that ?

Hey, I watch a lot of your videos on the 01 SLK230. I bought my first one as a project but learned a very quick lesson in mechanics. Can you advise me? Purchased in San Antonio and decided to road test it back to Phoenix. However I got 200 miles and the fuel stop flowing to the engine. I end up having the car transported. Upon arrival I did my research and narrowed down to the fuel pump and filter as a whole BUT, I noticed there was a radio type static every 15 seconds coming from the battery side of the car sounding like it was in the glovebox. The windows and roof were part of this repair project because neither worked. Since I'm a Retired Disabled Vet, I needed something to occupy my aches and pains... Lol 😂 😂 . SO, any advise besides sell it and run will help with mental therapy and a chance to drive this 6 speed Roadster once more! Thanks in advance not desperate but patient!

@@MrPyoneir it ended up the fuse box under the hood had the printed circuit board track burnt in one spot. Put a used fuse panel in for $35! No more issues. I think it was caused by the wipers driving through a heavy rain causing an overload!

Hi Keith, I have a 2009 gl450 the issue Is the vehicle doesn't start the codes are P0348 (left intake camshaft hall sensor) short circuit to positive or open circuit, p2092 (left camshaft intake solenoid) has a short circuit to ground, p2090 (left camshaft exhaust solenoid) has a short circuit to ground and cylinders 5,2,3,8 are misfiring. The vehicle was fine I was changing the right side mirror blinker and there were 3 broken wires and I started testing which wire goes to the blinker and the puddle light when I put everything together didn't want to start, I have checked every single fuse even the ones in the jump starter terminal but they all good, I'd really appreciate your help

How did you test them? I would check the connection to the camshaft sensor. Disconnect then reconnect. It may have come loose. Let me know about how you tested it.

What if there’s no codes showing , car wouldn’t start just crank and crank all of a sudden waited an hour it started ! Then stalled at red light and cranked continuously again towed home , next morning it starts and seems to be running checked all the plugs and such under hood nothings loose. Worried to drive and get stranded again . Any help to self diagnose this issue would be helpful !

It could be a bad fuel pump, no gas, disconnected position sensors. Have you checked these things?

I have a 2007 mb s550 base model. That cranks but no start. No CEL on dash. It turn out the back driver side fuel filter connection 2nd pin was burned black and melted the plastic housing causing fuel to leak out tank on full tank gas. Replaced another new filter happen again on full gas fill up. After 3 fuel filter I just fill tank 80%, afraid to fill to full and burn the filter causing leaks coming out the filter and no start crank until clean the burn connector of flux. I’m so feed up with this piece of shit car. Constantly throwing money at it to fix all kinds of problems that never end. My advice to people who want to buy this kind of headache car, Don’t do it. Get a Toyota/Lexus you will not have to deal with frustration and headache.

I have a 2007 S550 The problem happened I believe once I ran through a huge puddle of water. I went to drive it and the headlights start blinking but they were in the off position. The esp light message say it's inoperative also rght front air bag says inoperative and the tire pressure gauge says inoperative. Sometimes it won't crank at all. Sometimes it cranks and when I turn off yhe engine the headlights remain on and I can hear a clicking sound from the engine area.

Hey man great videos. I'm having the same long cranking when trying to start on a warm engine and my car is a 2010 e550 coupe. I have no codes but I changed the camshaft sensors, the fuel pumps, the crankshaft position sensor, the battery. The dealership changed the starter 2 years ago because it was doing long cranking but this long cranking is much worse. I believe it is the starter again because even when they first put it in it didn't sound like it had any pep...but the dealer denies it (I'm sure they didnt' bench test it, they possibly didn't even test the voltage). Lastly, I discovered when I tap the gas pedal during long cranking it will start everytime... sometimes when I let it long crank it will kill the battery and not start.
